Listen, I am not hating on immigrants wanting and needing to work....but that desire does not add anything to the bottom of line of wages suddenly decreasing and they will, creating a competitive nature of bias and indignation and the only real winners are stock holders and rich business owners. It also once again will start a culture war of them vs us....again how many times have we seen workers turn on immigrants in this country? I for one have worked many years will legalized immigrants who pay work visa to the fed til they become legal citizen.

What I see first hand, is the the non English speaking workers have learned how to charge top dollar for their work. In the construction trade I see either all non English speaking workers with the boss speaking limited English, OR an American boss hiring immigrants and charging top dollar for their work.

In many cases, the boss might be paying close to top wages but opts for the immigrants because they tend to show up for work.

For roofing and decks it's ok, but I see gross incompetence by these workers in more intricate applications.

I'm not sure if they drive wages down the way they used to in the skilled trades, but definitely in restaurants and similar jobs.

I stand corrected and I agree 1000000% on your commentary. I just recently had roofing work done and my windows all replaced.....the roofing went okay, but the windows, the work sucked, I'm still dealing with the company.....the company all hispanics, nobody spoke english...but the white guy. I know for a fact all these guys he used all were here illegally, bc their plantation owner the white guy would get pissed when I would ask them questions, they all seemed very controlled. My son works with a lot of contractors and recommended the white guy. Wages do go down.....a burger joint once had a now hiring sign posting 15 an hour, today its 12-15 an hour. My state has a lot of homeless immigrants in it, a lot standing near stores and shit, with signs wanting work.
