walmart raising minimum wage to 11$ per hour

11x32=$352
$352x4weeks=$1408.00/month
$1408x12mos=$16,896.00

All states have different qualifying income levels. In FL, a single person can make $15,800/yr or less and get M-Caid.
Yes...most of us can do first grade math. You make assumptions about which states will and won't qualify, and how many hours most employees will get.

But thanks for making my other point...cuts to their food/healthcare will make them even worse off.

Dont shill for richest family in the world who can't share enough of the company's income with the workers depite their wealth beyond imagine.

What makes you think I am unhappy, fool?

Every thing for sale at Walmart was once madecin the USA by people who could afford to buy American.
Now, because of you ignorant humps,
American goods cost much more and you all make much less and are happy.
You are a willing victim of successful political science. I pity you and all your ilk.

So you never have or will shop at Walmart? Only mom and pop shops, right?

Look...bottom line.............
If a person(s) is living below the poverty level they will receive financial help from the rest of responsible Americans in order to perpetuate their poverty, which after alllllllll this time and multiple generations they seem to enjoy as evidenced by continuing the same behavior which continually locks them up in a permanent victimhood.

Correct.
I buy American and local.

Good for you. I try as much as potato do so as well. There comes a point though that some things I get at a Costco and occasionally Walmart simply because the price point difference is large enough. For example, I'm not paying $4 for 4 rolls of TP when I can get 30 at Costco for $18.

But I wholly support local businesses with my word and wallet.

I buy mostly items on sale, the savings can be remarkable...I have a large chest freezer in the basement.
I learned it from my father.

Old Sam had a good idea back in the day, offering low cost products. It has gotten out of hand. Walmart has pushed out many competitors. I don't know if it is our fault for just being too lazy, liking the conveniences of one stop shop.
I always wonder what came first. Competing for the lowest price necessitating outsourcing, thus increasing joblessness and poverty, or poverty and joblessness necessitating competitiveness and outsourcing. ( does that make sense, I hope?)

It makes perfect sense but it is no mystery.
Obscene greed led to offshoring jobs led to poverty.
