And you’re ignorant of the current job market lol.

This isn’t 1920 when hordes of Europeans immigrated to the steel mills in Pittsburgh or the coal fields of WV. The country needed mass immigration of unskilled or low skilled workers at the time. There is no living wage to be had for someone of that job-caliber today. For every one of them that makes something of himself there’s going to be 8 or 10 that lag behind.

It’s going to overload our already stressed entitlement programs
.

Except for that part where if you are illegal, you qualify for exactly zero "entitlement programs." In fact, most illegals will do anything possible to avoid coming to the attention of govt. That of course means no going to the "welfare office" to apply for goodies.

I will never understand how some Americans are fine with corporations paying zero taxes or shitty wages requiring Americans to obtain benefits but balk at illegal immigrants contributing to the economy with their labor and taxes while getting next to nothing back.

Name these "Americans" who are supposedly "fine with corporations paying zero taxes or shitty wages but balk at illegal immigrants contributing to the economy with their labor and taxes while getting next to nothing back".

Who’s going to pay for all of this? You can only tax the rich so much before you drive them out of the country.

Oh for gawds sake. "The rich" aren't taxed enough, but you continue to swill that Koolaid they pour in your minion glass. Let me guess, you're one of those morons who believe that if only you work hard enough, you too can be as wealthy as Trump (hahaha), Bill Gates, Warren Buffett, Elon Musk.... right?

You think being unqualified for benefits stops people who are unqualified to be in the country in the first place?

Do "ID theft" and "fake ID" ring any bells in that empty skull of yours?

I thought not.

Are you talking about legal immigrants? Because those who enter illegally are not getting tons of government assistance. As long as trump's in the WH the rich don't need to worry, he'll take care of them with tax cuts.

Unauthorized immigrants are ineligible for most major federally-funded safety net programs. Key safety net programs, including the cash welfare program Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF), the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP, formerly known as the Food Stamp Program), and the means-tested disability program Supplemental Security Income (SSI) are available only to “qualified” immigrants and citizens (see here for a review). Undocumented immigrants, along with some legal immigrants, are typically in the “unqualified” category unless they are victims of abuse or trafficking.

Undocumented immigrants are also excluded from most federal health programs. They are prohibited from non-emergency Medicaid, the Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP), and the Medicare program.

Undocumented immigrants are not eligible to receive insurance subsidies under the Affordable Care Act or to participate in the ACA insurance exchanges. They may be able to privately purchase insurance through their employer or on the non-group market. An estimated 40 percent of non-elderly undocumented immigrants have no health insurance. According to a study by the CATO Institute, low-income non-citizens (documented and undocumented combined) have lower participation rates in safety net programs than low-income citizens, in part due to eligibility restrictions for the undocumented.

Undocumented immigrants are not eligible to receive Social Security benefits even though many contribute to the system. Many undocumented immigrants work in the formal sector and contribute to the social security trust fund. Estimates suggest that up to $12 billion per year are contributed by undocumented immigrants and their employers. Most undocumented immigrants will never draw from the system.

Immigration enforcement activity reduces the degree to which undocumented immigrants access benefits for their families

Nice job. You blinded them with science. Well, facts. Unfortunately it is true that you can lead a contard to facts, but you cannot make him think.

Ask her what happens when they show up at the ER.

Same thing that happens to everyone -- if their condition is a true emergency, they are treated regardless of insurance status. If no insurance, then they are examined, diagnosed, and shooed off to somewheres else. It's weird that you're super concerned over illegals abusing the medical system, but not a peep out of you about the millions of uninsured totally legal American citizens who are the ones who put the most strain on America's Emergency Depts.

Even economists say those fears are unfounded. This is the conclusion on that link.

"Despite scapegoating in public discourse, the drain that undocumented immigrants place on government benefit programs is small. The number of low-income undocumented immigrants is small relative to the size of the overall low-income population, and federal law restricts their participation in most programs. Because so little federal assistance is available, some states and localities bear a disproportionate burden. As enforcement efforts become more aggressive, it is expected that undocumented immigrants will be less likely to access public programs on behalf of their children who, as citizens, are legally eligible for these benefits. "

Bingo! We've had this problem long before illegals came to this country, not that trump could give a rat's ass about it.
