My quote specifically stated "working aged people" for a reason. Seniors with dementia generally are not "working aged people". There is, however, no reason that benefit cannot be extended to medicare. They are already paying some for rehab nursing home care.

I don't care who you are, a serious injury, accident or illness can take you down financially. My wife has Leukemia and one of her medicines is a mere 100,000 a year. She has to take it the rest of her life. That medicine is much, much cheaper in some other countries.
Over a million Americans go abroad for medical treatment every year, Medical tourism is a growing industry. We are getting robbed when people can go abroad and save money.
