US economy is in shambles

I'm going like gangbusters!
I do have to say that my call options on BNO and GUSH have been doing very well. It is a good time to be investing in higher oil prices.

I do feel a little guilty about doing so while oil prices push the USA into a recession, but it is not like I caused trump to hand over the Strait of Hormuz to Iran. Don't blame me, I did not vote for him.

However, early models project Q2 2026 real GDP growth at 2.8%.
Right now, gasoline prices are going up by 2.1% a day. If that continues for a week, it wipes out any model claiming 2.8% growth.

If trump really works this, he might be able to get another month out of the strategic reserves(trump is not known for working, so maybe not). Even if he opens the Strait of Hormuz today, that puts oil above $130 for the month of June. If it takes another month from today to open the Strait of Hormuz, that is two months of $130 oil, and almost certainly a recession. That would be negative GDP growth for either Q2 or Q3, more likely Q3, but with flat growth in Q2.

We are all making predictions, so will have to wait and see.

There are many young adults that refuse to do any sort of physical work.
Maybe the young adults you know are lazy. The ones I know all do income stacking. They will be an engineer, and also walk dogs for money. They will be a bartender, and also rent out sound equipment. They will be in high school, and also have an incorporated patio/shed building business.

The Millennials, Generation Z's, and the leading edge of the Generation Alphas I know are all harder working, but not as focused as previous generations. Then again, I do not know anyone in Gardner's family.

In shambles? Not hardly. I'm going like gangbusters! See,....here's the thing,....with such an overabundance of absolute STUPID people in this world anyone with even an ounce of a brain , a magnetic personality, and some good work ethic is REALLY cleaning up simply because a lot of the competition is so pathetic. You have to be one stupid AND lazy dumb ass to be struggling in America right now....FOR REAL.
Stone...if anyone offers you Kool-Aid...don't drink it. I'd say that you would regret it, but it might be an even worse outcome.

There are many young adults that refuse to do any sort of physical work. They won't do a trade, don't want to work in anything less than some optimal, air-conditioned, indoor job where they don't have to do much, and face no serious stress. For that, they expect to be paid a king's ransom.
No. Not a King's ransom. Just a living wage.

Exactly. They think it SOUNDS BETTER if they frame it like EVERYONE is doing poorly when in fact only they are.
It's all part of the pattern for blaming their own problems on others. Their own problems of course are never dealt with, and don't disappear, but they keep trying anyway.
See, here's the thing,...and its totally true,.....you can be stupid and still do quite well,....IF you are willing to REALLY get after it and bust your ass.
How very true! You can show up as a raw recruit on a construction site, where you are given a shovel and told to dig a hole, to learning a trade, such as electrical work, to managing a crew, to materials and project planning, to owning your own construction company with thousands working under you (some of which are now using shovels to dig a hole just like you started as!).

Conversely,....you can be pretty lazy and also do well,....but you better be REALLY smart.
You might appear lazy, working in an office or something, but you won't get anywhere unless you WORK FOR IT.
But you absolutely CAN NOT be dumb AND lazy. If you are you have no shot. Now if you are smart AND are driven to work hard? Oh yeah,....you can have about anything.
It's all about initiative. THAT's what separates the winners from the losers, whether you are out on a construction site with no shade and only sanicans, to working in a cushy office, to running a home business.

Argument from randU fallacy. Random are not data, dope.
Nearly half are concerned about routine costs.
Argument from randU fallacy.
The culprit? The cost of healthcare is rising faster than wages and inflation.
Argument from randU fallacy.
The average cost for a family health insurance plan offered through the workplace in 2025 was nearly $27,000, an increase of 6% from the year before, according to health nonprofit KFF.
Argument from randU fallacy. Health insurance is not healthcare.

Don't feed the sock troll, maybe it'll go away.

With all due respect, you're posting to an absurd troll working for 7th century savages.
At most he's a Walmart greeter. He is in the United States pretending to work for Iran.
He's already complained about his low wage.
He's no more concerned with fallacies than he is with human life.
Fair point. Democrats really don't give a damn about anyone except themselves.
Best to point and laugh at not only his stupidity, but that the Mullahs waste resources posting propaganda on a little site like this, where the moron only gets laughed at.
I point out his stupidity and why it's stupidity. Enjoy the show!

Trump fired everyone who used to do the employment and job numbers.
Because they were lying. Trump put sensible people in their place.
He replaced them with people who will release the numbers he wants.
Good. Better than the lying numbers the Democrats want!
Trump was always furious when the numbers showed the economy was down.
Don't blame him. I don't like the economic depressions caused by Democrats either.
They will not show that again.
Good.
