Update: Storm could bring hurricane force winds to the Gulf coast later this week

Hopefully they have a 2nd floor to hang out on, bring valuable items, food, water, files, papers, etc. up there with them.

Your drugs are confusing you. I most certainly am not a southerner

Your excessive use of crack has destroyed what brain cells you had I never said you were a southerner that was Jack. Dickheads like you wouldn't survive a day among real southerners.

Slight rain here. Did go to the Store again. Somewhat crowded. Passed Gas Station, people still filling up there cars.

Outer rain bands are now starting to come on shore out of the S.E. from Grand Isle to Gulfport.
The steady rain to the Slidell area looks like from 8am tomorrow, all day Sunday and all day Monday. Get your wellies ready. ;)

I like you Salty! Not many people know what that means!

I like you too Sailor  Maybe only gulls of a feather know about wellies LOL!
In reality though, what he needs there are hip waders. Most folks in LA all know
what those are and hopefully he's got some.
ECMWF is showing waves in the immediate Gulf area are 16-20ft. Are you and your guys
following this one in for any salvage prospects?

Don't know if Jack is still up out east in Slidell but it doesn't look bad there:
winds 35mph
pressure is high only about 1005
accumulated precip since Friday 7/12 8am is about 1 inch

Houma's really gonna start feeling the rain around noon today:
(projected)
winds from SW not bad at 45mph (10m above ground; 60-80mph 200m above ground)
pressure around 1000
precip? cats & dogs

Hang in there Jack!

Looks like the worst of it tomorrow will be the corridor running from Morgan City straight
up to Baton Rouge. Hope everyone comes through it fine.

Early morning Saturday. Not even raining here. (east of NOLA)
Glad you're ok;) St. John's Parrish and a couple of other places don't look very good;( There's a group from here heading your way with supplies, etc. but I think I'll wait to send the trophy/king cake;)

:) It's a Tropical Storm. People are used to 'rain' and 'flooding' here. But, if you could contact Washington DC and have them send BILLIONS of dollars down here for the 'Relief Effort', that would be great.

Ok...I guess some aren't used to it, so OH and PA people are heading your way...Who do I ask, though? For relief funds?

There will lots of power company trucks convoying to the affected areas in another day or two. Hang in there.
Barry's moving up through Morgan City to New Iberia today.
