She has participated in volunteer work for women's shelters and other charities. Powell was not recalled as "being a staunch conservative or even very political" by people who interacted with her in those organizations. Powell served as executive producer on the 2013 drama Decoding Annie Parker, providing guidance to help bring the film to a commercial release. The film tells the story of Annie Parker and the discovery of the BRCA1 breast cancer gene. Powell oversaw fundraising screenings for the film that raised approximately $1 million for breast cancer charities.

I find such cases interesting. It's one thing to be interested in conspiracy theories, but people who dive in head first strike me as being "off".

Sydney is a year older than me. At some point her anchor ropes broke loose. She was a bright and promising lawyer in her youth. She's not regular Trump dummy. She doesn't strike me as being primarily interested in money given her work with charities. If she's smart and charitable, that narrows the problem down to a mental issue. When even Trump calls someone "crazy", then it's a pretty good bet they are. LOL

Powell was among a group of attorneys who filed a wave of lawsuits in several states, pushing a false claim that an international cabal tried to steal the election away from Trump in Michigan and several other states. Powell and others received federal sanctions from a Michigan judge. She has been involved in ongoing litigation over those sanctions and an attempt by the state to recover attorneys fees.

The indictment stated that even though Trump has said the ideas “sounded crazy” he "embraced and publicly amplified" the disinformation. He "did this despite the fact that when he had discussed Co-Conspirator 3's far-fetched public claims regarding the voting machine company in private with advisors, the Defendant had conceded that they were unsupported and that Co-Conspirator 3 sounded ‘crazy.’”

And that speaks to both his knowledge that he truly lost, and that he had the intent to continue to push the lies about a stolen election, as well as means to overturn it. Oopsies!

You can bet each and every one of them is being called to a 'come to Jesus' talk by their defense lawyers saying 'you understand there may be space for only one or two deals and the rest WILL be prosecuted... now is the time to decide'.

Being All-In on Trump winning the election and pardoning them has to be an increasingly more tough bet to make.

Ford pardoned Nixon in order to get past the issue. Was it a mistake? Probably since "turn about is fair play" and the Republicans joined the Democrats in letting Clinton go free on his impeachment.

National security makes strange bedfellows. I understand what Reagan was doing with Iran-Contra just like I understand what Obama was doing in running guns from Libya to Syria through Benghazi.

My thoughts on who might flip.

I start with the premise that Jack Smith will not be giving a total pass to any of these unnamed 6 co-conspirators and he will require some jail time in a plea. Lower level people might get a full walk but none of these will.

That suggests to me that none of the oldest ones flip as any jail time will be basically a life sentence for them, so they might as well stick with Trump and hope for a pardon, knowing they will not get one if they flip and Trump wins.


So:

- Rudy Giuliani - age 79 will not flip.
- Sidney Powell - age 68 probably won't flip. And then even in a Trump win he might not pardon her. lol.
- John Eastman - age 63 is on the 'fuck it.. lets gamble' border of flip or not if the sentence offered is small
- Kenneth Chesebro - age 62 is also on that 'border'
- Jeffrey Clark - age 56 is best chance to flip.


I do think age really matters whether you gamble All In on Trump becoming POTUS or not and you getting a walk. Rudy would see a deal of even two years as offering him little to nothing, as he would see those two years as the best he has left, and know old people come out jail far more aged.
