Uncle Martin Would Have Been So Proud...

I am saying that is how it should be perceived by anyone who believes in our founding principles. We are ONE, united under GOD, who endows our freedoms. (The same God who endows ALL men's freedoms that we believe in as Americans.)

So as long as they display your christian symbols, all the other religions should pretend that the God mentioned in the direct quote from teh Holy Bible is their God too?

Dixie, you have gone off the deep end now.

What you are advocating is using only christian symbols, as long as they don't mention Jesus, yahweh, or jehovah, and this will stand to represent all religions equally?

That is pure bullshit.

What's bullshit is me trying to have a conversation with you about something you simply don't comprehend or can't comprehend. I don't know how else to explain it to you, I said nothing about "my christian symbols" or any person's christian, jewish, or muslim symbols. I said (correctly) that our founding principle is that we are of one universal God, who endows our freedom, including the freedom of free will and belief in whatever God you want to believe in, or not believe in. Either you agree with the idea that "all men are created equal and endowed by the Creator, certain unalienable rights" or you don't believe in what America stands for. You're certainly free to believe whatever you wish, but America doesn't have to bend to your will and alter what it's foundational principles are to accommodate your beliefs. That is what you seem to think is supposed to happen, and it's contradictory to the founding principle.

What you said was that Roy Moore's debacle was right and that all other religions should accept the "God" in the 10 commandments as the God in their religion.

Something that is so bigotted and ignorant as to be beyond belief.

I am trying to have an intelligent conversation. The trouble is that I have no one on the other end capable of doing the same.

No, that's not what I said. Just do a quick review of what I posted, and you will see, there is no assertion from me that anyone should be forced to accept any such thing. There is no bigotry in my view, because America is not a bigoted concept.
