Where there's smoke there's usually a fire. Maybe not as big as some would like or with enough evidence to prosecute, but it's there. Likewise, Hunter isn't a superstar yet he seems to have a lot of lucrative shady deals. I have no doubt there's a fire in there and I don't doubt that, if asked, Joe would admit he not only knew some of those deals were shady or unethical but counseled his son on them several times. Hunter is his son. What would most fathers do?

I strongly doubt that Joe Biden personally gained from Hunter's "career". If he did, then why doesn't he talk about or hint about Hunter as much as he does Beau? It's not just because of the CiC thing either. He was that way before Trump*.
