Insurance for union bosses? GM, Ford & Chrysler buy it for workers.
So they, once again, piss away all those union dues on hookers and coke and are in the hole.
Why anyone would want to join UAW boggles the mind.

Absolutely wrong. You made crap up and posted it. They knew GM and other auto companies were in deep trouble. They tried to keep them afloat and it was successful. The big 3 generally appreciate workers more than most companies. They provide large profit-sharing bonuses at Christmas time. The unions are somewhat involved in many management decisions. They have a small seat at the table.
Now GM wants to keep the profits for execs and stockholders. When a strike happens watch and see what happen to those profits. Workers are the ones who produce profits.

GM wants to continue taking advantage of 'right to work' states in the South. They'll close the union shops in the North, and move any necessary production to other states.

The UAW Retiree Medical Benefits Trust is still likely GM’s largest stakeholder with a remaining 100.15 million shares. But that might fall below the threshold detailed in the 2009 stockholder’s agreement between GM, the UAW trust and the U.S. Treasury that guarantees the trust representation on the board.
