U.S. Representative: Tea Parties "Despicable" And "Shameful"

Thursday, Apr 16, 2009 @04:38pm CST

(Washington, DC) -- U.S. Representative Jan Schakowsky labeled yesterday's nationwide "tea party" protests as "despicable" and "shameful." The Democratic lawmaker from Illinois said the tea parties held by right-wing activists were fueled by FOX News Channel and were an effort to, quote, "mislead the public about the Obama economic plan that cuts taxes for 95 percent of Americans and creates three-point-five million jobs." Schakowsky told "The Hill" newspaper it's despicable that Republicans would attempt to cheapen a significant and honorable moment in American history with a shameful political stunt.

She emphasized not a single American household or business will be taxed at a higher rate this year.
(We Are All Fucked Next Year)

Schakowsky said the protests were made to look like a grassroots uprising but were really an Obama bashing party promoted by corporate interests as well as Republicans lobbyists and politicians.

LOL

This from the lady whose husband was sent to prison for tax violations and bank fraud. I must have been at the wrong party, I did not see one effigy of Obama with a noose around his neck and then torched on fire. Too bad the libtards can't say that, every time they held a protest they would torch a hanging Bush and danced around the fire like little faries.

Anybody that does not believe their taxes will go up to pay for all this massive spending are just fooling themselves.

this much is true:

"Schakowsky said the protests were made to look like a grassroots uprising but were really an Obama bashing party promoted by corporate interests as well as Republicans lobbyists and politicians.
"

You were tools and fools.

From that I take you attended one of the tea parties ?

Nope, he is still fearful of the radio waves Bush is transmitting from Texas.

He is hunkered down in his basement working on building himself a protective shield covered with top secret material to protect himself.

Note: This is a just a model prototype

Sad, I guess we still haven't sent those folks to Mars to let him/her know that Bush isn't the President any more? (too bad we have an even bigger fuck up in the White House now.... ). :(

This is a childish thing for her to say and more evidence that liberals are against the First Amendment unless it suits their own purpose. All they are doing is shooting themselves in the foot and a hoot to watch.

I also noticed that Jan had no counter argument to the premise of the TEA parties except for an obviously misleading statement about taxes. :cof1:

True, the statement that 95% will get tax cuts is intentionally misleading. How can a person get a tax cut if they never pay any taxes? A good portion of Americans don't. Why can't they just be honest and call it a welfare check? Honesty seems to be beyond them.

I also noticed that Jan had no counter argument to the premise of the TEA parties except for an obviously misleading statement about taxes. :cof1:

I noticed the "this year" tag on the end of the 95% promise. Of course, they have already broken the 95% promise. Tobbacco taxes affect all smokers - which is far greater than 5% of the population AND is disproportionately higher in the lower income brackets. Strike one. They have made no secret about their plans for capital gains, even though far more than 5% of people depend on investment revenues for part of their income - especially retirees. (This one has me hopping mad at AARP for backing Obama even knowing his plans to vastly increase capital gains.) Strike two. And, anyone whose head is not stuck up the donkeys ass KNOWS that strike three is coming.

And of course, the whole diatribe is a lie because they know that taxation is but a small part of the reason the tea parties were held. Spending was by far the larger part, but they dare not mention spending any more since they've managed to outspend Bush in just a few months of being in power.

And let's also not mention the way the liberals reacted when Bush's cronies pulled the "unpatriotic" labeling of anti-war protesters. Calling anti-war protesters unpatriotic was wrong, and I agreed at the time. Calling anti-spending/tax/wealth redistribution protests "despicable" is also wrong. But the liberals will never admit to their hypocrisy since their view of free speech means only that whith which they agree.

The things I heard and saw from the Teabaggers were not about much of anything but desperately trying to find a way to blame the fuckign mess the Republican party made of this coutnry on someone else.

I hate Obama signs, I hate liberals signs, I hate democrats, chanting about secceding form the Union, lies about Obama not being a citizen and angry people who feel the Rs stole their protest platform.

I have yet to see any numbers about turnout.

How many venues and how many turned out at each venue?

It was a fraction of what anyone could consider main stream vein of any movement big enough to DO ANYTHING.

You guys keep protesting all you want but please stop shouting crazy assed LIES and act like adults in framing your positions.

WE DONT NEED ANOTHER MURRAH BUILDING!

So, burning presidents is effigy is adult? Saw lots of that with your precious "high turn out" anti war protests.

Attendance of the teat parties is still being tabulated. The MSM delinberately lying about them isn't helping, but that's the way it goes.

http://news.yahoo.com/s/usnw/20090417/pl_usnw/pjtv_attendance_count_for_tea_parties_passes540000

By the way, they were Tea Parties, and they were attended by protesters, not "tea baggers." (another slimy and typically despicable move of the MSM to defame what they oppose.)

How about a littel history lesson for all you ignorant liberal "this is nothing" frightened whiny bitches.

The first anti-Vietnam War protests were smaller than the tea parties event. They were not anywhere near as coordinated, just a couple hundred here, a few tens there. The protests, when not completely ignored, were mocked, ridiculed, and insulted by media pundits who had their collective heads up LBJs anal cavity. But they persisted, and grew despite the way they were treated, and the movement became large enough and vocal enough to change U.S. foreign policy.

That certain extremists took things too far and started blaming those of us who fought over there, with the resulting poor treatment (which continues to this day) when we got home is a sad side effect. But the fact remains that a movement started small and grew to change things.

And I still say the whiny liberal bitches are so vocal about denying the tea parties success because they are scared spitless. They just got in power by default of the republican party, and knowing their policies are NOT supported by the people, are frightened they will not be able to get all their shit passed before America wakes up and kicks them back out the door like they did with Carter (Who slid in because Nixon fucked the goose.)

I defend these people's right to protest their taxes being lowered by Obama. They are not worthy of tax cuts. Please give them to the elite, so they can invest them in overseas jobs.

I don't think they know HOW to use matches...

You have to give Desh credit, her palpable desire for another Murrah has not waned. 'What you disagree with Obama? Well you must be going Murrah!'

Murrah: It's one more method some are using to try to demonize their opposition. McVeigh was a fucking nut. But they'd like everyone to believe all who do not support their idiology are the same. (This coming from the supposed philosophy of "tolerance" and "diversity".)

Here's a challenge: find ONE incidence of reported violence of ANY kind involving the tea parties. Just ONE. These were well organized PEACEFUL protests of U.S. economic policy. Compare that to the number of times violence, vandalism, - esp. to recruiting offices - etc. were a part of their "peace" protests.

Haha, excellent point. All war protests in S.F. ended up with violence, destroyed property etc. The anti-war protestors described those doing this as 'fringe anacharists'.

I see you are just a little upset.:)

WE DONT NEED ANOTHER MURRAH BUILDING!

Speaking of Murrah

April 19, 1995
Truck bomb explodes in Oklahoma City

Just after 9 a.m., a massive truck bomb explodes outside the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. The blast collapsed the north face of the nine-story building, instantly killing more than 100 people and trapping dozens more in the rubble. Emergency crews raced to Oklahoma City from across the country, and when the rescue effort finally ended two weeks later the death toll stood at 168 people killed, including 19 young children who were in the building's day-care center at the time of the blast.

in retaliation for the murder of 80+ men, women, and children at the hands of the US Government.
