Turkey is currently in the process of dropping out of NATO in favor of Russia

they are a helluva lot more reliable then Ukraine who wants in.
They have a damn good army as well - valuable for NATO's southern flank

A valid point, but..

ISIS was given haven in Turkey. Mind you that's with the US, YPG, Syria, Iran, and Russia chasing them there.

Turkey doesn't meet the NATO requirements and standards.
It's no longer a democracy.
We can find somewhere else to put our missiles.

Turkiye is not a good ally to NATO and NATO is not a good ally to us. We have completely different philosophies from the beginning. In the first place we are Muslims and you are not, thats reason enough to ruin the whole relationship, nothing else will be in the desired order from this mismatched beginning. This relationship has continued to this day as a necessity with Turkiye's submissions and rarely NATO's submissions. Turkiye got stronger and does not care anymore. We have completely different plans, we have made great strides in this regard such as the establishment of the Muslim Union and the Turkish Turan union. Our defense industry has increased from 10% national production to 75% national production in last 20 years with current govt. Our technology and industrial production has increased a lot. We have a very strong economy that is tried to be damaged by the internal collaborators of Western countries, like deliberately raising food prices under the monopoly of certain companies, raising exchange rates with the help of Turkish businessmen based in London, deliberate increase in residential rents etc. There is no country that can deal with Turkish Army in a land battle, it is not a correct method to compare the power of armies according to the number of equipment they have. We have a smart and hardworking young generation, this is one of the biggest factors that changes everything, someones can copy the simple outer skeleton of our UAVs for example but they cant copy the amazing AI and software of them.

Ive always considered Türkiye and NATO to be an odd alliance.
I lived in Germany for three years and could see how the many Turks there have never really fully integrated into German culture. But those döner imbisses were great!

Understand that the Turks are 100% sure that this is the Germans fault.

I lived in Germany for 6 years.

They wont, I observe most of the Turks living abroad are much more nationalist than those living in Turkiye. Many of these people went abroad to meet labor needs and 2nd and 3rd generations born and grew up there. The children were born and raised there know Turkish language very well and continue to grow up with their origin culture due to strong family ties. The cultural differences naturally lead to differences in lifestyles and causes communities to be isolated from each other. These communities are also in the hands of Turkiye in the context of foreign relations as an influencing factor on the political authorities.

You really are a glutton for punishment.

I think it's called ' masochism '

Here ya go- your pain starts here.

Haw, haw...........................................haw.

Turkey is guilty of the Armenian Genocide.

How would you feel about a Germany that still believed killing Jews was right?

This is not true. There is no such thing. This lie has been put forward in line with the political agendas of Western countries. We made the promise to end this nonsense a long time ago, we offered to create a historical research committee that all historians from any country can participate, the countries that made these lies have denied it, because they are lying and their lies will be officially proven. There is no official case to support this lie, there are only a few failed attempts.

Soviet Union was a Slavic-Turkic alliance. The Azeris, Uzbeks, Turkmen, Kyrgyz, Kazakhs and several ethnic groups in Russia all speak Turkic languages. The Turks in Turkey and the Uighurs in China were the only Turkic people on the planet to fall outside of this alliance.

After the US’s missteps in Iraq, Syria and elsewhere in the Middle East, Turkey has decided to work with Russia on forging an alliance that would incorporate these Turkic-speaking former-Soviet Republics.
