We had those scans when underwear man boarded a plane in a different nation, he was even on the list. Again, it is false security to begin with to assume that terrorists are randomly spread out through the people in the line.
Either we make the search palatable and equitable to everybody and require them from all, or we are taking those risks regardless.
A false sense of security is a stupid thing to rely on.
And again, what made you change your mind? What made you decide that even more intrusive warrantless wiretapping done by Obama is better than the less intrusive warrantless wiretapping done by Bush? What made you decide that creating the HSA was GREAT if Obama was in charge, but was the worst ever decision made when it was Bush? And when did it become okay to assume guilt and that people must prove innocence if they are doing anything that isn't specifically listed as a right in the constitution?
