While I am convinced Clinton was guilty in the Paula Jones case- He settled because he knew they had evidence. But its also a strategy to settle to save money, especially if you have a past history that goes to the accusers favor in a he said/she said circumstance. Medical malpractice suits settle all the time. I'm sure Jones attorney's urged her to settle.
