Trump to serve jail time in GEORGIA for a multitude of attempt counts

Hilarious are people who accept Trump's behavior and the threat he is to the American system. You are the Trump rube. He conned you like a child. He showed who he was and you did not care.
Trump wants the military to get involved in the last couple of weeks. He ordered the Georgia Secty of state to find 12,000 votes to overthrow the election. You don't care.

And look. Here comes another sheep. Late as usual of course..

It borders on classic comedy that Senator Susan Collins claimed that impeachment alone taught Trump a lesson to behave and refrain from using the office of the presidency to coerce others into committing criminal acts.

A person commits the offense of criminal attempt when, with intent to commit a specific crime, he performs any act which constitutes a substantial step toward the commission of that crime. Georgia Penal Code Section 16-4-3,

(a) A person commits the offense of criminal solicitation when, with intent that another person engage in conduct constituting a felony, he solicits, requests, commands, importunes, or otherwise attempts to cause the other person to engage in such conduct. 16-4-7

Any public officer who willfully and intentionally violates the terms of his oath as prescribed by law shall, upon conviction thereof, be punished by imprisonment for not less than one nor more than five years. 16-10-1

An officer or employee of the state or any political subdivision thereof or other person authorized by law to make or give a certificate or other writing who knowingly makes and delivers such a certificate or writing containing any statement which he knows to be false shall, upon conviction thereof, be punished by imprisonment for not less than one nor more than five years. 16-10-8

A person who knowingly and willfully falsifies, conceals, or covers up by any trick, scheme, or device a material fact; makes a false, fictitious, or fraudulent statement or representation; or makes or uses any false writing or document, knowing the same to contain any false, fictitious, or fraudulent statement or entry, in any matter within the jurisdiction of any department or agency of state government or of the government of any county, city, or other political subdivision of this state shall, upon conviction thereof, be punished by a fine of not more than $1,000.00 or by imprisonment for not less than one nor more than five years, or both. 16-10-20

it shall be unlawful for any person to:
(1) Knowingly file, enter, or record any document in a public record or court of this state or of the United States knowing or having reason to know that such document is false or contains a materially false, fictitious, or fraudulent statement or representation;  16-10-20.1

and conspiracy to defraud... 16-10-21

Trump is one stupid criminal.

Trump doesn't care one way or the other if there was real fraud or other irregularities. Imaginary fraud is perfectly fine if it can be used to change the election. Many of his supporters, even most of them, feel the same way. It's all a dirty game.

Yes, but interestingly on this one they haven't managed to imagine a defense yet. Awaiting instructions from the Orange Perp.

Breitbart or Newsmax or OAN will put the spin on this, and it will immediately be posted by every one of the cult members. My guess is something along the lines of claiming entrapment, but Trump was too clever to fall into the trap. Except that he wasn't. They won't care.

Yea. At least she was 'troubled'.

I think his defenses if he is charged will be along the lines of the meaning of his specific verbiage, that while always
solicitous of an untoward or criminal act, can be construed as vague, or some vagueness can be imputed to the words
to vitiate the specific intent based on a supposed unlikely belief in extraneous or exogenous fact. . Then chuck in some exec privilege for good measure.
"When I said find votes, I meant that there are some missing votes you missed, and some fraudulent votes you didn't find,
like I read on Newsmax, not that he was to fabricate that which doesn't exist"- that sort of defense.

I like the crime of attempt. Just because a person is too noble to go through with a nefarious suggestion
shouldn't work to exonerate a perp. Like Trump.

Nothing funnier than a non lawyer copying and pasting shit trying to act like a real lawyer. Even funnier is the rubes who get behind a fraud like that.

It's only funny when a semi illiterate, a typical Trumper for example tries to grapple with law. Most educated lay persons are perfectly capable of understanding non technical statutory text like the one quoted above. .

Yep. And it's also very easy to map Trumps behavior to the statute. Well, not for Popeye, but for most of us.

Oh. I see. You are another fake lawyer. Like Concart is an economist. Why do you Democrats lie so much about your "accomplishments"? Seriously, anyone reading your posts already knows the best you could be doing is working at a fast food restaurant or something. If you work at all.

Is this where you tell me again about your masters degree you have in economics that you never used? LMAO! Fucking fraud.

Yes , and though I am in fact a lawyer, it is my respect for people and similar assessment of them that explains why I didn't mess it up with some lame out of state analysis.

"You try and get someone to commit a crime, we treat you the same as if you did it." No need to editorialize or comment-except I guess I just did.

Locating applicable law and cut and paste was sufficient for anyone to see Trump's behavior implicates those statutes. I simply saved people some looking.

Sailor wants to derail this thread with ad hom, doesn't he. Sailor, fix my birds nest and get my boat away from those damn seals,
they keep stealing our bait. Then go to the mess and cook me a burger.

Yes, I am close to finished with the stupidity of the republicans

LMAO!!!!! In your fucking head maybe. That is all.

Poopeye tell us about your fleet of ships, that only exist in your fantasies.
