Trump to GOP: Unite Behind Me Or Else?!!

Donald Trump demanded that Republicans unify behind his campaign on Saturday night, arguing that conservatives who don’t back his campaign should fear the consequences of a third-party bid.

(Jesus! Look at that hair (on the right, not Trump's)! She could sub-let that 'do. Guessing Daddy Dumbucks hired a bunch of eastern Europeans to hold steel rods under it to support it.)

It'd be interesting if he goes third party, which he certainly will do if the RNC gets its way and manages a brokered convention (because as an untrustworthy serial liar Trump doesn't care abut agreements he's signed).

Sure, he'd still get the racist/idiot/stupid vote, but rank-and-file Republican would all fall in line with whoever the RNC would choose (looking like Cruz at this point, idiots).

So a bunch of idiots would vote for Trump, the remaining GOP base would vote for whomever winds up the brokered stepchild, and Hillary Clinton would likely win the election.

Which I wonder about when it comes to the GOP. I actually have friends who are dyed-in-the-wool, deep-seated Republicans who said they'd rather vote for Hillary than Trump.

We'll see.

Dream on, commie.

Trump is ahead in all polls. If he doesn't get the nomination that means the GOP establishment thwarted the will of the people. The party will be dead and we won't have a country left.

He still doesn't have 50% of the Republicans in the primary. The will of the GOP doesn't want Trump.

I think people are starting catch on w/ this guy. The polls are getting tighter.

A new polls today shows Cruz beating Trump nationally 54 - 41 if it's just those 2. Not that I'd love to see Cruz as the candidate, but Rubio should really drop out. Anything to get Trump out of the race.

I think you'll find that he's not.

Take your average Democrat poll. None of them show Trump leading.

Take your average Primary/Caucus cycle. At the moment, he doesn't have enough delegates to win (and I think that's a LITTLE more reliable than a random poll).

The important thing to remember about polls is that they're all nonsense, because they can be manipulated to say what the pollster wants their particular poll to say - and then, of course, there's people like me who tell polling folk when they call the exact opposite of what they actually think, because I do love to skew polls. :)

If he doesn't get the nomination he'll just go on an Independent run, and stupid, pathetic, blinded, moronic, uneducated, craven, idiotic, feckless (I think that's enough adjectives... for now) imbeciles will still be able to vote for him.

But one thing is clear, the GOP is on life support at this point, largely by their own devices. Perhaps this'll be the schism to match the birth of the GOP from the Whigs.

Cruz doesn't stand a chance against Hillary, but Trump does.

Trump will get trounced in the general. As much as I hate to admit it Hillary would eat him alive in a debate. What is he going to do tell her she has cankles?

Cruz on the other hand would eviscerate Hillary on a debate stage 1:1. It wouldn't be close.

Trump had been an entertaining side show but it is time for him to exit stage left

I can see the ads now about Trump single handedly bringing down the USFL and using the government to try to force a lady out of her house. His views on eminent domain should scare all freedom loving people.

One thing we know for sure it is not mostly republicans supporting Trump. He is mostly doing well in places with open primaries.

They cant take it from him at the Convention, 30% of their voters would bolt, then where would they be.

Just circling back to this, the results of a Wall Street Journal poll show that in a general election Clinton would take the win with 51% of the vote (with Trump garnering 38% of the vote).

Which just goes to show why polls don't actually matter all that much.

that's idiotic logic. You could say that for any candidate. there are 3 other people taking votes from him.

As of today he doesn't have a majority of the votes. That's factual. Now as you mention that can very well change if the race drops down to two candidates.
