CFM represents the typical member of the Alt Right/QAnon/Neo-Nazi movement. Like Trump, CFM is a consequence, not a causal factor. When national politics of Right and Left move further and further apart over a few decades the natural consequence is the extremes of both views.

I'm hoping this is as far as it goes before the pendulum swings back toward the center and sanity, but I think a few dozen or more Americans are going to be sacrificed before the nation reverses course.

Agreed. As a fun experiment, I always like to tell trump supporters to exchange the name Clinton, for trump whenever they feel that something he said/did was harmless.

I'd love to see them make the same argument.

It's probably just fingerprints and a simple record check for convictions and warrants. I've had military background checks and those were coordinated with the FBI. After active duty I was hired as a AP high school teacher which required a routine FBI check, including fingerprints. After 9/11, since I couldn't come out of retirement, I joined the Civil Air Patrol. That also required fingerprints and an FBI check. I have a carry permit; that also requires fingerprints and an FBI. It's pretty routine. The FBI doesn't decide, they just report.

according to Walt, if the FBI did a background check on you, the state has ceded all rights to decide anything to the FBI.........he's a little slow on the uptake.....
