Trump takes WV in 2020

WV is a state full of uninhabitable mountainsides interspersed with economically dead, semi-ghost towns.

I'm friends with a woman whose husband is from WV and his family still lives there, so they go up to visit every few months or so.

The housing up there is so cheap due to the lack of potential buyers, they were able to purchase an old two story (with basement) red brick house for about what you'd pay for a double wide trailer in states like NY, Texas or Florida. Their property taxes are almost nothing and that is without homestead exemption because they only live in it a few months a year when they visit.

Big pro-Trump state, but who cares?

I think it is funny that Rana bashes fossil fuels when it is single handedly responsible for everything she has in life including her cure from her toxic titties. That was oil money that paid for her healthcare. And this is how she shows gratitude?

Do I think trump is going to win in 2020? It's hard to say. Absolutely he could lose. But he could easily win as well. Here are some factors off the top of my head:

- A lot of his low approval rating is from stubbron democrats that didn't bother to give him a honey moon. These are people that would never have voted for him anyway.

- He still has very high support from his base, and as of a poll I saw two weeks ago he still had a majority support in all the counties he won in spite of his 0% approval rating or whatever it is people are saying it is now.

- It's the economy, stupid. Right now DOW is at 22k. Maybe it'll be 25k in 2020. Economics has always been a very big factor in determining if an incumbent gains re-election. That's just a fact. If the russian narrative evaporates or proves to not be much and that's not hanging of his head anymore, and people are doing well economically, his poll numbers will probably go up and he'll be in a decent position.

- Historical evidence: Obama was at 39% in late 2011. He still won the election. Approval numbers 3 years out are pretty useless at predicting a winner because so much can change in that timeframe. hell a lot can change in just a month.

All of the above are perfectly valid reasons why trump could still win in 2020, but the true mouthbreathers on here are going back to their "no way not possible" attitude which was ill-informed and patently stupid in 2016, and it continues to be a stupid position today.

All I care about is actual honesty when discussing these matters. Too many of you just circlejerk without an acknowledgment for reality. I get it, you are butthurt about trump, but how about some actual truthful dialogue now and then?

there is also the fact that to date Congress has only approved 50 of 200 appointees.......it will be interesting to see what will happen when he finally has HIS staff running things instead of Obummers.......

Exactly! :) Revealing the "truth" to those who find the truth inconvenient is much like the attempt to level concrete after its set. FYI: 32 states has seen an increase in their GDP (gross domestic product) since Trump became the CEO of the Corporation known as the United States of America. If and when the over-regulated laws and TAXES are reformed and made to be more profitable for small businesses....the US economy and its GDP will not only find the 3% range but may very well approach numbers like 4% such as the Red State of Texas is now experiencing.

During the Obama years of democrat mismanagement and their war on everything profitable....the national GDP averaged 1.9-2.1%, the worst administration for business and PROFIT (the engine that drives every capitalistic nation on earth) in decades...2nd only to Jimmy (Mr. Peanut) Carter and his teaching of liberalism 101. Obama was the first president to have never witnessed a 3% GDP growth since Hoover during the great depression years.

Does anyone really assume that the working people in this nation will not re-elect a president that is actually acting on his promises to put more money in their coffers in order that they may be self dependent and provide for their own families....unlike the last administration who propagated the false premise that adding to the rolls of welfare and state dependence for personal existence was a GOOD THING. When the economy is set free from Washington DC and its rouge EPA regulations and democrat taxing to pay for the welfare kings....Trump will win in a landslide EC vote....AGAIN.

NO....I mean GDP (gross national product)....the indicator of any successful form of CAPITALISM....in real time, not like the fake Wall Street numbers that vary up and down depending on the success of "gambling" by the fat cats of our society. A GDP reflects the efforts of work/production...in the movement/sales of goods and services for a profit. A 3% average of movement is an indicator of some success in the right direction of the economic ledger.

And the 3 Trillion mentioned? Compare that 3 trillion against the 8 trillion collected annually by the Governments of the United States in taxes alone...yet they can't manage to make it on 8 trillion per annum...as those in charge of managing the people's wealth can only pay down the people's debt of 20 trillion by paying only the interest to keep the debt from becoming insolvent and collapsing the entire US economy. Not only can these ass hats in DC demonstrate they can't manage 8 trillion dollars a year....they have borrowed 20 trillion on the good name of THE PEOPLE on the purchase of votes to keep their sorry asses in power....by spending money that our grandchildren will have trouble paying back....money they don't have to spend. They are addicted to OPM (other people's money). The average politician's plan? "We must borrow and spend our way out of debt..."

Conclusion: If you believe that you can spend your way out of debt......you must be a day dreaming progressive.

I agree that Darth is okay. He probably thinks I can't stand him, but I don't put him at all in the category of some of the righty trolls here. I think Darth is a true believer, but of course, think he's misguided in his views on Trump.
