You can explain it to him six ways to Sunday, link the website where the committee itself explains why, and the little MAGA mook just won't accept it. It just burns his ass that a black man ideologically beat him out TWICE in fair elections in the electoral and popular vote. Obama was/is far from perfect, and I disagreed with many of his policies, but compared to whom he beat out and what is in the Oval Office now, I wish he could've run for a 3rd term.
