A lot of those that entered the Capital came through doors that were held open by Capital police and were encouraged by FBI informants like Ray Epps.If they were part of a rioting mob that smashed and forced its way into the building, then they need to do jail time.
The most egregious ones need to do significant federal prison time.
Colbert's staffers were part of a film crew that had permission to be in the building but they didn't leave when they were supposed to.
They deserved to be detained, charged, arrested and punished.
But because they had a legitimate reason for being there to begin with and we're not part of a rioting mob, they should not go to jail for it.
Simple.
Common sense.
