I think it is something that is extended to Presidents, while it is protecting that person, it is for the well being of the President. I cannot imagine my daughter being in danger because of the job I had and how I might feel if she were unprotected.

I get that folks do not often like Biden, but he was President of these United States, and that puts him and his family at risk in some circumstances. Six months is very temporary, cutting it off after nearly 4 seems a petty move.

I don't think that Ashley was in any danger or at risk... But I totally understand what you're saying... And agree that he could have given Ashley a couple more months of minimal security.... His initial reaction and ultimate decision, though, was to Hunter's vacay and the SS presence in South Africa...Which I think was excessive.... in that case the circumstances warranted a termination of the remainder of the six month period... Ashley just got caught up in the backwash... His dad pardoned Hunter......He can pay for his security....

Ex Presidents should get secret service protection for one year after leaving office then pay for their own. Revoke Bush and Obama. Trump too after one year.

Protect kids while in office then not after. They don’t need it after daddy leaves office. If Daddy wants it daddy can pay for it. They are all worth millions.
