Zappa is absolutely correct.

Popularity has nothing to do with getting things done TEMPORARILY.

There are however, a plethora of bad consequences of being an incredibly unpopular politician, especially a president .. which of course you already know.

That is the thing, the Republicans are really backed into a corner, they need the Trumpies to survive, but its looking like they might not survive with them.

They won't/can't survive with them. Same conundrum they had with the Tea Party, which today is essentially non-existent.

Besides, they really like Pence. Getting rid of Trump would be doing them a favor.

Seriously. I just wonder how long it'll take him to wake up one morning and say to himself..."I'm out'a here. I didn't sign up for this". And if he does last all 4 years I doubt if he'll run again. I really believe he ran because he wanted to see if there was support and to get some "Trump" publicity. I think with'in a year his heart won't be in it.
