Trump reaches majority disapproval in just 8 days .. in record time

".....none whatsoever......" #35

Perhaps not directly.

Trump is welcome to be a phantom if he wishes. Break all the rules. It shouldn't matter to him, as he seems to be a man of independent means, though perhaps not to the degree he'd like us to believe.

BUT !!

Congress is populated with mostly career politicians. So they have incentive to make a show of constituent service.

So if the congressional GOP dutifully, meticulously drives the carriage over the cliff, there will be voters Trump doesn't care about that many in congress do care about.

Here's a tip for you PP, straight from psychologist Joy Browne.

"While it is important to avoid impropriety, it is also important to avoid THE APPEARANCE of impropriety." JB PhD

Our elected political representatives are supposed to working for us.
It behooves them to at least present the superficial appearance that they are doing so.

".....none whatsoever......" #35

I think you're smarter than this. So I deduce you expressed it in the extreme, for affect. But in so doing it undermines credibility.

Et tu, Brute? Or why the Republicans will turn on Trump

No more tweets

Here's a few of the reasons why ..

- He is constantly sucking all the air out of the room. — Have you heard much from the congress recently. Well, they have been talking but Trump has been talking louder.
They have to spend too much time covering for Trump. — Reps go on TV and instead of their, limited, time being spent talking about their agenda they have to spend it covering for the latest Trump Tweeter rant.

- They don’t give a rats hindside about most of his agenda. — Walls, deportation forces, Muslim registers, delusional voter fraud, crowd sizes, gag rules, torture, infrastructure; they could either care less about or it’s a distraction they don’t need.

- He is going to make the ACA repeal and replace even harder than it already is. (Already has) — He has made promises that they can’t keep. He has also promised his own plan that may or may not be like what the Congress puts forth causing more confusion. And, you know he won’t be able to keep his mouth shut when they start hot and heavy crafting legislation.

- He has very few friends in congress. — As long as he is useful they like him. But the moment things start to get really contentious (and it will) they will turn on him like a Mongoose on a Snake. He has managed to insult just about everyone in power on the Republican side and Elephants don’t forget.

- He is creating the largest opposition in American history. — The Republicans aren’t blind or stupid. They can see the opposition that is being created against Trump. And they know that that opposition will also be directed against them come election time.

- They really like Pence. — Pence is their man and they would love to have him in the #1 position rather than the erratic Trump.

It’s just a matter of time. I give it about April or May when the bottom starts to really fall out of the Trump presidency and then we will see how many friends Trump really has.

1 Million Brits Sign Petition To Block Trump’s State Visit Due To ‘Misogyny And Vulgarity’

More than 1 million people have signed a British petition demanding that President Donald Trump be denied a state dinner with the queen because of his “well-documented misogyny and vulgarity” that will “embarrass Her Majesty.”

The petition, fueled in part by Trump’s new executive order blocking incoming travelers from seven Muslim-majority nations from entering the U.S., reads:

Donald Trump should be allowed to enter the UK in his capacity as head of the US Government, but he should not be invited to make an official State Visit because it would cause embarrassment to Her Majesty the Queen.

Donald Trump’s well documented misogyny and vulgarity disqualifies him from being received by Her Majesty the Queen or the Prince of Wales. Therefore during the term of his presidency Donald Trump should not be invited to the United Kingdom for an official State Visit.
For a time Sunday afternoon, as many as 1,000 people each minute were signing the petition, the Independent reported. The number of signatures was expected hit 1 million on Monday morning in England. Parliament considers any petition with more than 100,000 signatures, so it will discuss the document at an upcoming session.

Several travelers holding British passports have been turned away at the U.S. border, according to reports in the British media. But following pressure from British officials, Trump aides have now said that British dual citizens from the targeted countries will be allowed into the U.S., according to controversial Brexit champion and British Foreign Secretary Boris Johnson.

THE most hated man in the world .. approaching Hitler-esque type hate of him.

Beyond the snapshot of the current poll, I can't help thinking that many Americans are asking themselves if this is really what they want America to look like for 4 years.

You can blame whoever you want on that - the media, the deranged left, Trump, whoever. But without doubt, Trump's style is combative and mercurial. He likes a little shock value. And I don't think it's too disputable that it's a bit of amateur hour w/ his admin; the way this whole measure was intro'd was lame and showed a great deal of fail on the part of the admin. There was a complete lack of working through & preparing for potential scenarios and pretty obvious ramifications.

No one wants this kind of situation to play out again & again & again, and see protests on the news constantly, while a detached President claims that everything is going beautifully. Trump made a huge deal about how divided we were under Obama, but it was nothing like this.

They didn't factor in the Russians. :0)

Let me guess, all of your predictions have been absolutely correct .. you even predicted Obama winning twice and leaving office with a higher approval rating than Reagan.

Surely you predicted all that.

That's right BAC pretend your smug hateful predictions carry water by throwing out a straw man argument.

BTW Reagan left with a 63% approval rating.

People hate Trump, hate his policies.

That should be glaringly obvious.

I didn't like Obama nor his policies .. but he was light years better than the idiot in office today.

Can't blame Obama .. or anybody else for the incredible ignorance of Donald Trump.

But you know that won't stop dim bulb Trumpkins from trying to blame anyone but their messiah.

Obama is supposedly this amazingly popular President yet his excuse is he didn't do more because of obstruction. How could an amazingly popular President not get his agenda through?

Ah yes, the ol standby.

The "clueless rube" persona.

"How can Obama be popular yet not get his agenda through"? Wacko asks naively.

"Popularity" is determined by polling the PUBLIC.

"Obstructionism" was done by PARTISAN REPUBLICAN CONGRESSMEN AND SENATORS.

because he didn't try? He wouldn't use his political capital,he wouldn't seek meaningful compromise, and he refused to horse trade. would it have made any difference? we'll never know

Oh but we DO know.

It was called unprecedented Obstructionism from Congressional Republicans.

Are you really going to pretend you don't remember Mitch McConnell's comment about how Republicans Job #1 was making sure Obama was a one term president?

So polls don't dictate if a President can get his agenda through. Thanks Zap.

No, polls DON'T dictate whether a President can get his agenda through.

Polls are ONLY used to gauge the public's acceptance/rejection of the President's actions/statements.

But then, if you were the tiniest bit honest, you'd admit that you knew that already.

Did you read BAC's OP and the point he's making in this thread? (That's a rhetorical question because clearly you didn't and don't)

Wasn't aware that I did, consciously anyway.

Oh the point of this thread is abundantly clear.

BAC is highlighting how president Trumpkin set the record for receiving a majority disapproval rating!

You then trotted out the usual assortment of diversionary nonsense to distract others away from the truth of his OP.

Democratic polls... Hillary will win with more than 360 electoral votes- there is no pathway to victory for Trump.
