Trump/Newt Vs. Clinton/Warren

I seriously doubt Warren will be Clinton's pick. She does not seem to like HRC. HRC does not like her. Warren has few qualifications. Warren and HRC are both women living in the Northeast. The smart money is that HRC wants a younger looking man from the Midwest or Southeast.

not that much but he provides a smokescreen for conservatives to convince themselves to vote for trump because there is a conservative vp. and he did have a good run as house speaker better than the recent ones.

Better than Hastert?

No, you weren't engaging in conversation Jarod. Read what I wrote and then read your response at the start of this thread. I simply asked that you troll others.

I mis-read your comment, so I responded by pointing out that we agreed. That is clearly not trolling. You really have a chip on your shoulder? What are you so mad about?

Newt might be the highest ranking person Trump could get, but he also has huge negatives with women.

the other high ranking people you speak of the bushs rubios romneys? they are out and out neocons. Honestly if they wanted trump to win the best they can do is endorse hillary clinton. They are really not an option.

btw for people who say trump cant win. A month ago cruz was viable opposition. More than anything I think he dropped out yesterday because he was becoming a national joke his wife even got asked if he was the zodiac killer on live tv :/. trump did that in one month. Hillary hasnt been able to put away sanders yet.

I would never say Trump cant win, he can.
The dynamic will have to change significantly, and the game in the General election is very different. Republicans voted for him to send a message to the Party that they are pissed, they sent a huge fuck you to the Party. Independents don't care to send a message to a party, they care about who will be a good president. NeoCons are likely to stay home in mass.

The establishment Republicans desperately want Trump to lose, so they can then say, "I told you so, look what you did, and it got us Hillary."

Trump faces an uphill battle, but his political skills are strong and well suited to the current climate, its going to be fun to watch.

Cruz was becoming a national joke, but what does that say about Conservatism, he was a great representative of current Conservatism and he was laughed out of the race.

Maybe Trump could chose Hastert. When is Hastert out of prison? Can you serve while on probation or community release?

Maybe Hillary could dig up Jim Wright. He, like Bill, has an unethical past but Democrats are willing to overlook such things when it's one of their own.

Oddly Clinton is the neocon ( neo-liberal?) for the Dem's and Trump the isolationist for the Repub's.
This election has some oddities to say the least!

Besides you who is saying he's a great representative of current conservatism? There's social conservatism, there's economic conservatism and there's populist conservatism. Cruz fits into a small window of that.

There is no such thing as populist conservatism, that is the first time I have ever heard that term, what does it mean?
You don't think Cruz represented all of those categories other than populist? Cruz was the quintessential social and economic conservative. He was a joke!

You're the quintessential Liberal and will always be a joke.

Ok, I just read an interesting article on "populist right movements" and its clear Cruz tried to fall into that category as well with his plan to have police patrol Muslim Neighborhoods.

Why should we take your word for what's clear? What makes you an authority on it?
