There is really nothing to discuss here. Senate Republicans, beginning with their leader Moscow Mitch, have already announced that they will take an oath to be impartial jurors and then openly violate it. They have literally announced an intention to commit a felony. Republicans no longer make any pretense of not being criminals.

They do this because they have supporters in the electorate who routinely vote against their own best interests in order to have their racism, xenophobia, misogyny, and anti-intellectualism "validated" by trashy Republican politicians in the pockets of corporate oligarchs. There isn't a single right wing nut job on this forum who wouldn't gratefully offer his / her / its rectum to Donald Pigfucker Trump. That's just who and what they are.

I should pity them, but I'm just not that nice of a guy. I viscerally hate them instead.

Nope the House has the power of impeachment. Once the impeachment is voted on. it is sent to the Senate for a trial. Not a new impeachment, but a trial. You are wrong again.

It's still an "impeachment". That's what the House brings...articles of impeachment (charges, accusations, etc.)
If all the Dems wanted out of this mess is to say they stuck an asterisk by his name, then big deal, they got it.

She can hold on to those articles and die with them. That would show that their "urgency" reason to get it finished prior to the next

You'd think they'd get tired of always being wrong.

So today's game is, apparently, to pretend that TRE45ON was *not* the third president in history to be impeached. Because some reasons. Weird though how we all agree that Clinton was impeached, even though only the House agreed at the time.
