Trump met with Russian Ambassador during campaign

They met, which is all that was claimed.

What's hysterical? He lied. They claimed no contact whatsoever and now we see Trump personally met with the guy.

From your own link it says only a few minutes and there were THREE other ambassadors there. Yeah, Trump had some shady meeting with him in the presence of three other ambassadors.

Who said anything about a shady meeting? It's just more hysterical fiction from you.

They met and that is all that was claimed. However, Trump and his team have been lying about it all along. Why?

What was the context of what Trump said? You guys took Sessions comments way out of context and I surmise you're doing the same here.

The last paragraph in your OP is about shady, lol, you didn't read your own link. I don't know what he said no contacts, maybe he forgot, or maybe the question was about meetings, not giving a speech and shaking his hand with 3 other ambassadors mere minutes before his speech.

BS! Sessions offered no context and there was no context, that would have changed the meaning of his answer.

“Russia is a ruse. I have nothing to do with Russia. Haven’t made a phone call to Russia in years. Don’t speak to people from Russia,” Trump said during a February 16 press conference. He said he contacts with Russia were limited to talking twice to Vladimir Putin after election day.

On February 20, Trump spokesperson Sarah Sanders flatly declared that the Trump campaign had “no contacts” with Russia.

The context was Franken's question. Duh!

Then maybe he did lie, seems like an odd lie given so many people witnessed it. That is why I think this is a lame gotcha. Heck, it was already reported in the news, it was no secret. I think there is some misunderstanding here.

The question did not change the meaning of Sessions' answer. Sessions did not qualify his statement and he mislead Congress.
