Before Bill Gates' meet-and-greet with President-elect Donald Trump, the Microsoft head honcho explained how Trump could be like John F. Kennedy

Gates relayed that he and Trump had spoken over the phone. 'I had an opportunity to talk to him about innovation,' Gates said. 'A lot of his message has been things, he's seen things not as good as he'd like,' the billionaire continued. But Gates suggested Trump could tack on a hopeful message to this too. 'I think that whether it's education or stopping epidemics, other health breakthroughs, finishing Polio,' Gates said.

high praise from Gates...Trump could be a really good POTUS -not bogged down in mindless partisanship,
and with a fresh mindset to problem solving without government's highly procedural tendencies. Nuts and bolts fixes instead.

Or he could be a complete failure, taken over by the plutocrats. I think he's got enough populist instincts to resit -but we'll see.
What is hilarious is the left's passing judgement on him, long before he even takes Office

How could anybody not pass judgment on him based on how he's shown himself to the public for the last 40 years? The man's 70 years old and attributes his success to his record, but a close examination of his record and his life shows that he sucks.

Couldn't agree more. Trump could go either way. If he doesn't lose sight of why he was elected he'll be fine. If not, he'll go down after one term.

-not bogged down in mindless partisanship,

What about a deeply held white nationalist ideology that doesn't consider vast swaths of America to be part of the country? Trump is the most ideological president of all time.

Some Jews didn't think Hitler was a big deal, and thought others were being paranoid and kooky for fleeing the country and setting up resistance to his tyranny. Those were the ones that wound up in Aushcwitz. We cannot be paranoid enough. We cannot trust Trump too little.

Yes, America needs to come together and unite. Unite AGAINST Trump. Unite AGAINST fascism. Unite AGAINST ignorance, cruelty, greed, and bigotry. Remember the Arab spring chant, "
Ash-shab yurid isqat an-nizam" ("the people want to bring down the regime!") This is what we, as Americans, need to chant in unison. We need to bring down this evil, totalitarian regime while we still can.

Donald Trump is all the vices of man, wrapped up in a single person. He is by far the most evil person on this planet.

Anatta is buying into the cult of personality that Trump is building. He establishes his fanatical, extremist ideology as the only permissible ideology, and so becomes non-ideological. He is establishing a cult of personality along the lines of Hitler or Stalin.

my life should suck so much I own a building on 5th Ave..:rolleyes:besides this is all new - a real non-politician for POTUS!
It's to the point citizen-politicians can't even get into the Senate -but POTUS??

All that business experience is getting things done, and getting it done on time and making a profit.
That takes drive and determination..blah blah

P.S. I hate the New England Patriots. Brady is SUCH a pretty boy. The Ravens came close.
It looks like the Ravens and the Steelers are gonna have to settle it at your house!

Or Obama's cult of personality. It's part of leadership. MAGA -who can argue with this??

If it takes the abolition of the federal government, or the dissolution of the United States, to get Trump off the levers of power, that is a price we should be more than willing to pay. 4 years of Trump wielding those levers of power is too much of a danger to the world. I am a human first, an American second.
