Trump is acting even more guilty than Nixon

What part of "they obtained nothing" do you stupidly not comprehend you moron?

First of all, you're going on the word of Trump that they got nothing out of that meeting. Trump lied about the meeting even happening, so his word is useless.

Secondly, why lie about the meeting at all?

He didn't lie about the meeting and you're too stupid to even find his actual quotes. STFU, seriously.

Yes he did!

He said "no one had any contacts with Russia."

The meeting taking place would prove they did have contacts with Russia. His own son was at that meeting. So was his campaign manager. So was his son-in-law.

Extraordinary.

If someone told me two years ago that an American presidential candidate from the GOP or Democratic parties would reach out to a hostile foreign government for help in swaying an American election, I would have been incredulous.
I would have thought a patriotic American, and certainly a Presidential candidate, would tell the Russians to fuck off and stay out our of our elections.

Why did it work?

At this point, anyone still defending Trump also needs to be investigated for espionage or treason.

Why did it work?

While I think seeking the Kremlin's assistance in winning an American election is treason, at least in name, I do not think we know conclusively if Kremlin help got Trump across the finish line.

The thing is that Republican have expended so much effort in thwarting the will of the people, of undermining our elections, of erecting firewalls to ensure Republicans victory, that even winning the popular vote is not enough to put a Democrat in the White House. The GOP is using the archaic and undemocratic electoral college, gerrymandering, and voter suppression to cling to power. To the extent their Kremlin allies help them, I am not sure it actually caused a Trump victory - though I keep an open mind and will not rule it out.

You win the internet today!

I concur with this assessment.

It was an extremely close election. It is not difficult to understand the Russians changed the election. They ran a huge military hacking and facebook/email operation. They spent a t least a milion a month. Trump is the first American president picked by a foreign country.

They certainly did meet with Russia. The Russian Lawyer there works for the Kremlin.

She worked for the Russian Government as a lawyer. That doesn't make her an emissary or a spy you moron. Is it illegal to meet with a Russian Government employee? Yes or No?

Also, the meeting was clandestine because they told no one about it until the meeting was uncovered.

It wasn't clandestine you ignorant dolt; it occurred in broad daylight in Trumps hotel in the middle of Manhattan. There was NOTHING to hide dunce.

They didn't have to tell anyone; hell, they probably didn't even know who this woman was or what she did.

Again, all your desperate flailing aside, nothing that could remotely be considered a crime.

I did notice that you didn't respond to my comments about the criminal behavior of the Obama administration and Hillary campaign. Why? It seems ironic that you would not care about that but stupidly believe that Trump did something wrong.

You're pretty stupid, dude.

Drumpf Jr. agreed to meet with Veselnitskaya after an intermediary, publicist Rob Goldstone, told him the attorney had dirt on then-candidate Drumpf's Democratic opponent Hillary Clinton. He also told Drumpf Jr. that the information was "part of Russia and its government's support for" his father.
http://thehill.com/policy/national-...t-with-trump-jr-was-in-touch-with-top-russian

Uday stupidly tweeted these e-mails before, you goofball, including the one with Goldstone:

The documents “would incriminate Hillary and her dealings with Russia and would be very useful to your father,” read the email, written by a trusted intermediary, who added, “This is obviously very high level and sensitive information but is part of Russia and its government’s support for Mr. Drumpf.”

Uday responded: “If it’s what you say I love it especially later in the summer.”

So Uday knew that the Russian government had "dirt" on Clinton because that's what Goldstone told him via e-mail.

So before, when you said he "testified", that was you talking out of your ass, wasn't it?

Today, we just found out that the Senate Intelligence Committee wants Assange to testify.

Furthermore, the intelligence as spelled out in the Mueller indictments, intel Trump was briefed on back in January 2017, shows Assange got the stolen e-mails from an intermediary who got them from the GRU.

Dollars-to-donuts that intermediary was Roger Stone.

How do you know? Because Trump said so? Yeah, he also said no one had any contact with Russia. The guy's a liar.

Ah, so a hostile foreign government reaches out to you promising "dirt" you know they illegally obtained and your instinct is to...take the meeting?

You've moved the goalposts a ton:

1. Trump first said "no one had any contact with Russia."
2. Then he said "they had contact with Russia, but it was about adoption."
3. Then he said "they had contact with Russia, it wasn't about adoption, rather it was to get dirt on Clinton."
4. Then he said "they had contact with Russia, it wasn't about adoption, rather it was to get dirt on Clinton, but nothing came of it."
5. Now you're saying "they had contact with Russia, it wasn't about adoption, rather it was to get dirt on Clinton, but nothing came of it, so it's not illegal."

That's four goalpost shifts.

Trump was given intelligence in January 2017 that showed Putin personally ordered cyber attacks against the US.

The EU has never done that.

Depends what the meeting was about, why the meeting happened, where, and when.

There is if it's a foreign government who illegally obtained hacked information.

Then why lie about it?

First of all, you're going on the word of Trump that they got nothing out of that meeting. Trump lied about the meeting even happening, so his word is useless.

Secondly, why lie about the meeting at all?

No, this is you trying to move the goalposts.

The context we were talking about was Hicks and Uday.

Yes, there was a crime. That's why they lied about it.

Yes he did!

He said "no one had any contacts with Russia."

The meeting taking place would prove they did have contacts with Russia. His own son was at that meeting. So was his campaign manager. So was his son-in-law.

:lolup:This is why you never try to engage a a pathological lying idiot, with way too much time on their hands, in a debate. It is better to just point at dumbasses like this and laugh. We're done.

When the Mueller report comes out and there is NOTHING there, I will continually remind you of what a mental midget you are for the rest of your time on this forum.

If you call 3 million more votes close........shrugging shoulders.

People have to buy into the propaganda in order for it to work.

Somewhere in the back of their minds, they want to believe the lies and propaganda, otherwise, it wouldn't work.

There is no crime meeting with ANYONE who claims they have dirt on your political opponents. It doesn't matter how many times you stupidly claim it is.

It sure is a crime, stupid fuck. And the EXACT statutes have been cited innumerable times for you willfully ignorant cretins.

I do not rule it out.
Republican posters on this board make clear their party is completely open to lying, cheating, and manipulation to win elections. The fact that they flip-flopped so rapidly from 'Nothing burger!" to "Collusion is perfectly legal!!" tells me everything I need to know about their motives and ethics.

By nature, I am generally not open to assertion and conjecture. I am willing to wait for the weight of evidence to come to light.
