I use both... I have grown turnips in the past, real easy but it now gets to warm in the winter...

3rd time in 4 years we hit 80+ in Feburary that was enough for me-they bolt, turn to seed & were so bitter the pet bunny shock his head & hopped off... The bulbs are still good, but small.

Do you cook that Welsh stew??

I have had it once or twice in Wales, hearty winter food. We make a similar sort of stew where you just throw in some veggies including leeks. My missus always puts in loads of chilli in as well, which I don't mind as I've developed a real taste for it over the years.
