Yea, that broth does look tasty, rich in flavor.. They call a turnip a swede??
They are not the same thing, a turnip is lighter in colour and sweeter in flavour. A swede is more reddish and is actually a cross between a turnip and a cabbage. In Scotland they are called neeps, as in neeps and haggis traditionally eaten on Burn's Night.

If you want to use turnips why not?That is what we call a rutabaga.. I like those & always put them in my stew.. The pict I saw @ the link looked like a turnip..
