Let me ask you this. Given what happened in San Bernardino can you 100% guarantee that no terrorist will come in?
 
If the rights are absolute, why is it OK for Trung to propose violating, clearly violating, the First Amendment. But it's not OK to put commonsense restrictions on gun ownership?
 
I am laughing about the folks crying about The Donald. They only make him stronger. I suspect his poll numbers go up. Whether they want to admit it publicly most Americans agree with him.

Trump is a fool. If most Americans agree w/ him, which I do not believe, it would really say something about this country.

I think right now, he is only appealing to a portion of the GOP base. The most surprising thing is how big that portion seems to be. Not a great commentary on GOP voters overall.

Part of his appeal is he's an outsider to those who feel frustrated at the system. That doesn't necessarily mean supporters agree with everything he says. However there's a long history in this country of people being against immigrant groups so this is nothing new. My belief is he has a current base ceiling of support he won't go above. What we see today is as high as he'll go. (I could be wrong of course but that's I what I see happening)
 
Maybe we should compromise. Instead of barring or deporting Muslims, we can just intern them. There IS Constitutional precedent for that. And the greatest Democractic president of all time supported the idea.
