Trump Call to Georgia Official Violates State and Federal Law

Find means find lol.

Find doesn’t necessarily mean ‘conjure’. Find doesn’t necessarily mean anything because it can mean several things. Any competent defense lawyer would rip it to shreds. Competent prosecutors know this so they wouldn’t waste time with a charge.

“It seems to me like what he did clearly violates Georgia statutes,” said Leigh Ann Webster, an Atlanta criminal defense lawyer, citing a state law that makes it illegal for anyone who “solicits, requests, commands, importunes or otherwise attempts to cause the other person to engage” in election fraud.

At the federal level, anyone who “knowingly and willfully deprives, defrauds or attempts to deprive or defraud the residents of a state of a fair and impartially conducted election process” is breaking the law.

Yes, I didn't get as far as Title 21 of that Georgia code. It's more on point. In fact it is precisely on point.

Why do you hate your country? Why do you think it's okay for the President to threaten an election official and ask that he manufacture votes? Can you explain that one?

Hell, I don't ever want a candidate calling any election official period. Not even to talk about fishing.
Much less to pressure a result. These tards like Omar need smelling salts and a slap on the face
to pull them out it. It being a cult.

Bullshit, competent prosecutors understand mob speak and mob pressure tactics all day long and prosecute them every ding dong day. Would a criminal defense attorney use vagueness and equivocation and lexical ambiguity to try and get Trump off? (again). Fuck yes. But the case is as strong.

The question, according to Justin Levitt, a law professor at Loyola Marymount University, is whether Trump was “knowingly and willfully” pressuring Raffensperger to count nonexistent votes when he told the GOP official, “I just want to find 11,780 votes.”
In other words: Does Trump actually believe that 11,780 ballots in his favor were cast but not counted?
Considering that two recounts, an audit and several judges have upheld President-elect Joe Biden’s win in Georgia, Levitt said it is clear Trump was not pushing for an “honest tally” of the votes.
“Either the president was engaged in the commission of a felony,” he said, “or he has lost his hold on reality such that he can no longer distinguish fact from the fictions he has been fed.”
Michael R. Bromwich, a former Justice Department inspector general, put it more bluntly : “His best defense would be insanity.”

Well, maybe this will be it finally lol.

Nope the only sensible comment you made of all of them you made is whether kicking Trumps ass one more time on the way out the door
or afterwards is a sensible allocation of time effort and political capital. He is as guilty here as he was with Ukraine. And that is 100%
guilty with 8 or so career unimpeachable and unopposed witnesses lined up.

Your cowardly treasonous senate's jury nullification tactics didn't alter the strength of that case at all. I listened to the entire
call on this one. Guilty.

I am actually enjoying watching Donald Trump take the Republican Party and his nasty rats down into the sewer where they belong! The stench will follow them right into the Georgia run-off election, the mid-terms- AND BEYOND!

Jolly Good Show!

So this is finally it, finally.

No, January 20th. Then you can finally stop apologizing for a known criminal.
But you'll get a new one who shares your values of hypocrisy, criminality, treason, authoritarianism
fascism, mendacity, Luddism and ineptitude.

How do I get into the minds of Republicans so well? "I start with a Democrat and take away reason and accountability." Jack Nicholson.

Huge cred for 'As Good As It Gets' reference. My favorite line from that movie. And there were many good ones. 'I'm drowning here and you're describing the water'. Priceless.

Oh, and yes, Darth has gone full retard. Fortunately the voters have done what the spineless Republicans refused to do.

This is what? The bridge too far for the Trump cult? Nope. That bridge doesn't exist. If Trump were Hitler, you would have a defense for the gas chambers. And you would ignore the reality and think the whole thing was cute and funny. That's what you've become. Aren't you proud?

The rest of us are aware that Trump has committed multiple felonies in the service of maintaining power. Hopefully he will wind up in jail. I think he will.

I read the entire transcript. He clearly violated several laws,
Trump violated no law.
as well as committed slander against a redacted-name election worker,
It is not slander to threaten prosecution for violating the law.
and the company that makes the Dominion vote tabulators.
It is not slander to describe the behavior of Dominion software.
He also threatened the SOS and staff with criminal prosecution
They should be threatened. They committed election fraud, a State and also a federal crime.
for not doing as he said -- produce 11,000+ votes.
No, for election fraud.
To make it even more interesting, his lawyers took part in the call, repeating the debunked claims and outright lies about ballots in Georgia.
They are not debunked. They are not lies.
They should be disbarred.
For what? YAVC.

Hard to say. No doubt nothing will happen though, either way, until tomorrow's election is over. Wonder how long it will take to tabulate all the in-person plus by-mail votes?

If the (D)s win, there will be another fight and screams about fraud from the RW, wait for it.

Jan 6th is an important day, but it may not decide the president. It very well might have to go to the alternative method using the 12th amendment.
