Trump Administration to Announce Plan to Shield Farmers From Trade War

Capitalism isn't supposed to provide. You're supposed to work within it to provide for yourself. Since many aren't doing that, tells me they aren't working hard enough and/or don't offer anything worth paying.

Yeah, we know a high tech low profile version of feudalism when we see it.

Since many aren't doing that, tells me they aren't working hard enough and/or don't offer anything worth paying.

Nonsense.

Most people in this country are on employer-provided plans.

Most of the rest are old and disabled people on Medicare, and veterans on the VA and Tricare.

Capitalism offers you the opportunity to provide for yourself what you should provide for yourself. If you aren't, do without.

You JUST SAID that Capitalism "doesn't provide":

Capitalism isn't supposed to provide.

So it doesn't provide the opportunity to provide for yourself. YOU JUST SAID THAT.

You've gaslit your own argument. What a doof.

Nonsense.

He's never been on his own with regard to healthcare. Insurance is socialism, with corporatized profits taken off the top and profit margin rationed care for participants.

People are scared of change and are reticent to learning from their mistakes.

interesting.

Or are they scared they will lose their status in society if they actually lose their privilege?

Cause let's face it, capitalism is a privilege for the white and wealthy.

Nonsense.

Most people in this country are on employer-provided plans.

Most of the rest are old and disabled people on Medicare, and veterans on the VA and Tricare.

The majority of the non-SSI, non-working Medicaid enrollees aren't disables, old, or veterans.

People on medicaid rely on someone else to provide for them what they should be providing for themselves.

He's never been on his own with regard to healthcare. Insurance is socialism, with corporatized profits taken off the top and profit margin rationed care for participants.

Says the one that relies on Medicaid for his healthcare thinking he pays for it himself.

He's never been on his own with regard to healthcare. Insurance is socialism, with corporatized profits taken off the top and profit margin rationed care for participants.

Yup.

All private insurance does is tie a profit motive to the administration of payments to providers; a function that doesn't need a profit motive in the first place. Also, a single payer system makes the most sense as it would streamline the administrative workflow. Less than 1% of CMS' budget is administrative, whereas overhead accounts for anywhere between 10-20% of the budget for a single insurance company. Medicare is much more efficient than private insurance in what its function is; administration.

Why do you think so many Americans believe in capitalism and insist we keep using some form of it?

Cradle-to-grave indoctrination coupled with a political/economic system that only the affluent have a represented voice in. By design. Go back to the founding. The grand american vision form day one was rule by an entitled aristocracy; only land owning aristocratic white males got a vote/voice.

Now it's just money straight up. Corporations are people too my friend, and you people simply can't cover the cost of "speech".
