dec 21 2018 Christina Ginther, a transgender woman, had long been an athlete looking for a supportive social group.

She thought she had found it in the fall of 2016 with the Minnesota Vixen football team, then part of the Independent Women’s Football League (IWFL). Team members welcomed her and cheered her on during an open practice before tryouts.

“I thought, ‘This is it,’ ” she said Friday. “I found my home.”

But when the team’s owner discovered that Ginther was transgender, the team yanked the welcome mat.

This week, a Dakota County jury found that the team and the league discriminated against Ginther because she is transgender, a violation of the Minnesota Human Rights Act. Ginther was awarded $10,000 for emotional distress and $10,000 in punitive damages.

The decision, her attorney said Friday evening, is significant because it is believed to be the first time a jury decided in favor of a transgender person in a business discrimination case in Minnesota.

Must have had a crappy lawyer to lose that case. The tranny failed to disclose the facts. It's unsafe to pit a male body against females in a heavy contact sport regardless of what sex the male body identifies as. Horrible decision by a jury afraid to be labeled bigots!

People who care about player safety and a level field of competition care. But, the left has its incredibly moronic agenda to push, so, we get crap like this. How moronic, you may be asking? It's just one of those idiotic issues that shouldn't be political. Girls, and boys don't do contact sports together for a reason, and you can't change your DNA. That should be the end of it, but it's politicized for gains on both sides. If many handled it with grace, instead of bringing bigotry into the issue, it might have gone better. That makes it an us vs them issue, rather then an issue for common sense. It takes two, is a phrase I've been taught since youth.

Well, perhaps you could remind the left, because, I'm not convinced that they understand that people can't change their DNA. I mean, DNA is fluid, right?

When you start in with bigotry, you get a fight over indignation. Can you tell me a rightist around, that didn't jump on the train of them being immoral freaks, instead of arguing about the issue on the same level? There is other common sense reasons for them not doing those things, then peoples prejudice. Like the stuff about public bathrooms, not ever being about what people think. Nothing ever stopped them, and many in the trans community just wanted acceptance over actions they didn't even have an issue with. It was a manufactured issue where bigots want to look down on whoever they want, and the other wants them to have to lawfully keep their prejudices in check. Like I said, it's us vs them thing now.
