Alan Hostetter was sentenced today in a DC courtroom to 11.25 years in prison for his role in the J6 insurrection.

He was considered one of the most high-profile defendants to date since he was a former Police Chief and traveled to DC with a cache of weapons. Prosecutors had asked for 12 years.
Hostetler was convicted at trial of 4 criminal charges, the most serious of which was entering the Capitol with deadly weapons and conspiracy. Hostetter drove to DC from California rather than flying so he could bring weapons, which included axes, knives, stun batons, and pepper spray. He represented himself at trial.
Hostetter was part of a leading group that broke through the police line outside the Capitol. He then yelled out, "The people have taken back their house! Hundreds of thousands of patriots showed up today to take back their government!" Leading up to J6, he told his other conspirators that they were going to "put the fear of God into Members of Congress."
When Hostetter addressed the court at his sentencing, he showed that he is still fully immersed in right-wing MAGA paranoid conspiracies. He said that J6 was "a setup," blamed the "fake news," said the election was stolen, said there were "dark forces" at work, and that the Ashli Babbitt killing was a "psyop" by the CIA, FBI, Antifa and DHS who orchestrated J6 to frame Trump supporters.
