Today's the Big Day!

"Fem Nazi" the slogan of cowards who are scared to death of independant women. What's a matter Failias? Don't have the balls to take on Darla? LOL She got you intimidated? LOL

Darla has me on ignore. You obviously haven't noticed that. I took care of Darla long ago.

Why would you support a racist sexist like Darla?

I know what matters most about a politician/Presidental candidate differs from each person and differs by area of the country but as one who focuses more on economics it seems pretty amazing that with what is going on financially not only in this country but globally the discussion is about birth control.

I'm sorry Cawacko! how right you are. Here I am babbling on, why, in near hysteria (I almost had to call out for my smelling salts!) over silly women's stuff!

Worrying about outlawing birth control! When there are serious problems to talk about. Stuff that effects real people. You know, men.

Let me remove myself from all this blather! I do apologize! I am sure there are some dishes that need washing around here somewhere. I'll get busy on that and you men light your cigars and get out the brandy and figure this all out.

Would anyone like me to pour them some water while I am hanging around?

Cake? Anything?

I don't know about "shaking in their boots" as the other poster put it but you can definitely see what I think is over-reaction on the part of some folks when a social conservative wins or comes close to winning an election. That's what you are seeing with Santorum just like you saw with Huckabee 4 years ago. I watched some of the morning shows today before leaving work just to see some of the leftist pundits look surprised and talk with disgust about Santorum being so close to winning. I don't know what they expect. Iowa is going to be more [socially] conservative than say, New York...or even New Hampshire, thus they tend to support the Huckabees and Santorums pretty well. Also, if you look at the break down of last night's vote, Mott hit the nail on the head yesterday with his urban/rural divide statement. While Romney and Paul supporters came largely from urban areas, Santorum dominated more in rural areas. If a hick like me can figure it out why do the "experts" have to act so surprised when something like last night happens?

Cawacko has already scolded me about my overreaction to banning birth control and forcing women into Dugarvilles!

I can't apologize enough!

Can I get you anything Leaning?

I'm sorry I had to be the one to knock a little sense into you this morning but I'm glad I did it.

So? They passed the stupid thing, they should face the consequences of their actions. Why would they listen to him, but ignore others? I'll tell you why, they wanted to. I don't care if he gives bad legal advice, lawyers lose all the time based on their positions not being seen quite the same by the courts. And I don't care if Dover had to pay for their passing some silly law that got overturned. Governments do that all the time.
That wasn't my point Damo. The Dover board of education took a position what was unconstitutional about the teaching of creationsm in science class rooms. A position which Santorum stronly supports and which is obviously anti-science. The fact that the BOE of Dover, PA were persuaded by Santorums law firm to take a position that was challenged in the courts and that they subsequently lost and paid dearly for is secondary to the point that Santorum is notoriously anit-science.

Now she's Gloria Steinham. I love a martyr. They're so emotional.

Yeah, we would see who was getting knocked if you were sitting in my office right now!

Do you have all the metrosexual dweebs cowering in the office? I bet they know better than to mess with a strong woman like you.

I bet if Darla had cunnilingus done on her correctly she'd melt like an ice cube on the kitchen floor on a hot summer day.

Do you believe people should be forced to vote? (I'm not suggesting that is what you said I am just asking your opinion on the issue) While definitely a small minority there are people who offer their own form of protest by not voting.

How stupid is that, not to vote? A form of protest and yet, they would be the first to bitch if told they could not vote.

Are Democrats less intelligent? it is no harder for a dem to get an ID than a republican. Or do ALL democrats live too far from the ID gettin' place, don't have a car, are to old, to infirm, to poor. Is the deck really that much more stacked against democrats than republicans? If it is then maybe god really is a republican.

Reminds me of the outcry over the 2000 election and Floridas purge of convicts from the voter roles. Cries of discrimination against racial minorities and therefore democrats. Except after the fact, they examined who had been improperly purged from the voter roles, and they found more white voters purged in error than they did minority voters.

I guess the assumption that Katherine Harris ran a competent organization was unwarranted.

Eh, not the way I would approach protesting our system but I can still understand why someone would not vote even if I disagree with it.

Yes, I do. Why do you think this nation was founded as "The United States of America"?

Those of you on the left have this misconception that whatever the Fed says then the states have to abide by it. Where in the wide wide world of sports did you ever come up with a crazy idea like that?

It's not about the Fed vs. the states. It's about whether a government entity has the right to tell people (read: women) what they can or cannot put into their bodies to manage birth control. Something tells me you'd be screaming about the illegality if men could get pregnant. A government entity banning birth control is as totalitarian a concept as China's one child policy, or aborting female fetuses.

Winning the Iowa caucus is the death knell for a candidate. I would not be feeling good about his if I were Rick.

Considering he was probably one who would come close to ending his campaign if he did not have a good showing in Iowa I'm not sure why he wouldn't feel good.
