The Republicans will not be able to figure it out, and the Democrats will never understand it either.

The Republicans will be looking for the rest of their existence to find someone like Donald Trump to run, but there is no other being on the planet like Donald Trump.

The problem for the Republicans is- the Republicans are now stuck with all the bad apples that will be looking for their next BAD APPLE to fill his shoes.

This divide between the bad apples of the TRUMPLICAN party and the GOOD OLE BOYS of the GRAND OLD PARTY will be a continual struggle that will prevent any decent human being from ever wanting to run as a Republican President again, and all they will ever have to choose from are crooked cynical Trump-Want-To-Be's.

Except Joe will never have to pardon Hunter because he will never be found guilty of diddlysquat. I'm sure just like with Hillary you will hear the rightwing claiming hunter is a criminal but he will never be charged with anything or go to court because the only crimes he commited are in the dreams of the rightwing. Trump will more than like face tax fraud charges in NY but that's different, they will all excuse that, he's their fuhrer.

You may well be right, we can hope. This election caused a tremendous number of democrats to vote that otherwise never would have bothered. If they continue it will become damn near impossible for a repub to ever win again. They may hold governor positions in states like alabama but never convince the entire country in a national election.

The founders gave us a federalist system that may have been ok for a thirteen-state startup in the late 18th century but which is badly failing a 50-state struggling nation in the third millennium.

The result is our today being the most socially regressive developed nation on the planet.

The 74,000,000 minority has much too much influence on the lives of the 81,000,000 majority. It's that simple.

We can't have constitutional amendments anymore. They're now impossible with today's permanent polarization.

The Senate concept doesn't work anymore because the states aren't balanced as they were once were between slave states and non-slave states.

DC and Puerto Rico coming aboard as states might help, but there's no prospect of that happening as in our current system; the rural states can too easily block that.

So you 50-State America loving progressives oppose partition?
Are you happy with the power that deplorable trumpanzees have with our current dysfunctional system?
Are we now the Planet of the Apes where the humans are losing?
