Scalise has to be the front runner, although as the article says, ain't a whole lot of difference between Scalise or McCarthy

Jordan is out of the question, he has tried three previous times to get some form of leadership in the House and failed miserably in all three, his only "talent" is being a demogogue and even the GOP knows a demogogue isn't a leader

So I'm still banking on McCarthy, eventually the Freedom idiots will see that they are damaging their own party, and McCarthy is such an ambitious yet weak individual, that he will in time give the wingers everything and anything they want to get their votes

This is going to get really interesting when we get to the debt ceiling at the end of the summer

Basically, It's Negotiation time!

The Democrats will vote him in, but there better be something BIG in return!

I don't think it's going to happen today! He don't look like he is ready to bargain yet!

He is getting nowhere with the Republican House Members.

It now becomes time for him to start negotiating with the Democrat House members like he should have done in the first place.

Our House has to work together not apart, and no time is better to start than right now.

May I quote something from the Bible?

Mark 3:25, KJV: And if a house be divided against itself, that house cannot stand.

I know Kevin wants to be the Speaker really really bad! But for what reason?

Hopefully it's not for what he has been threatening to do for the last 2 months- probably the reason he is in this pickle!

It becomes time for Kevin to decide whether he wants to be some kind of leader for the Trumptards, or become the leader of the House that represents the People- all the people!

Yanno? Like Nancy did!

I think the choice is his right now- Take it or leave it to someone else Kevin!

If they keep attacking establishment Republicans in public, they might just end up with Jeffries as the Speaker.

Now THAT would be a hoot.

I don't think any Democrat will trust him.

Jeffies gets just enough more moderate republicans to vote for him in exchange for the perfect committee seat

They know the Republican Party is slashing its own throat

Jeffries does have a lot of respect in Congress. Also the reason why McCarthy should be negotiating with him at this moment!

McCarthy has been such a defiance of Nancy and the Democrat side of the house and such an Obstructionist for so long now, the Democrats just can't trust him.

I mean can McCarthy put his big boy pants on and even be able to do the job with such a narrow margin of support?

He hasn't convinced me that he can! I mean who could the way it is divided and McCarthy is mainly responsible for it's divide!

So this one is going to be a lampburner!

I don't think any Democrat will trust him.

Yep, too many bad memories of McCarthy being so stubborn, so defiant, such an obstructionist and troublemaker for all these years.

I don't think any Republican speaker is going to be very popular and it will be a tough job for anyone because of the divisions between just the Republicans.

The in-party fighting hasn't even really begun yet. But it is about to explode any time now.

I suppose he is being treated the way he deserves. He was a bad boy before Trump ever came down the escalator, and only became worse since he did!

A contest for a fool to lead fools as their establishment rotates around the plug-hole.

The D's can end the problem tomorrow...and might.

This is the Uniparty and dissidents must be hammered.
