Things you never want to hear a US senator say

When I was an 18 year old registered Republican, there were at least Republicans I could respect, Gerald Ford, Bob Dole, Nelson Rockefeller, Jack Kemp
Nobody in NY repects Rockefeller. Especially potheads who got 15 years for possession

Hershel Walker has said he has battled mental illness/multiple personality disorder in the past. In October's debate with Warnock, he said the matter is under control.

In a 2013 interview with Spectrum Sports, he said, "I've got personalities that do a lot of things, including a guy who wanted to kill someone."

Herschel Walker is the poster child of Trumpism....and mental illness in the 2020s.

So doing the same as you did last decade, no surprise there.

Republicans need to be constantly reminded that they supported, defended, and worshiped George Dumbya, the Hillbilly from Wasilla, and Trump because these days a lot of conservatives are trying to tip toe away from their erstwhile heros and pretending like they never rabidly supported them.

It isn't ironic, it's mildly sarcastic. My point was that both parties have their share of idiots, morons, brain damaged, and stupid politicians in them. I think the Democrats have the edge there, but that's not the point. The point is that singling out one idiot out of a pack of idiots to rail against is just selective outrage, in this case on the basis of political party.

Mr. Walker doesn't even know what office he is running for!

I was highly offended when the Senior Senator from Massachusetts, a broad that I love in spite of her heartland roots,

pronounced the title of her mother's sister as "ant."

It's like how the idiot locals in Vegas want me to pronounce Nevada--first "a" pronounced differently from the second.

Nev-ADD-uh?

Nev-ADD-uh?

I'm sure that King Charles would pronounce it that way, right?

Still., I'll bet that you're ok with "ant," right, Owl? Even that doesn't fly in this town. I'd have thought that her Harvard students would have broken her of that,
but I guess not. Teddy, her predecessor, would never have said "ant" unless he was speaking of an insect. I could understand him when he spoke.

I lived my whole life in the Midwest, where white people pronounce Mom's sister's title as "ant." Black people and people for whom English is a second language pronounce it "aunt." It is also "aunt" here among the indigenous folks.

Given that trump's Tuberville won in Alabama, he just dug up another illiterate, incompetent popular sports figure and shoved him in front of the pack.

Palin getting TROUNCED in her bid for the House is a positive sign

"Ant" is how my hillbilly ancestors pronounced it. :)

LOL. You were even younger when he developed NY's 'Rockefeller Laws' in NYS.

The fact that the Clean Air Act, the Clean Water Act, the Endangered Species Act passed with strong bipartisan support makes me feel like liberal Republicans actually existed as a constituency the 1970s.

I don't disagree. Back then, those things weren't 'liberal'. They were common sense.

It was also widely accepted that compromise was the only way to get things done, as the Founders demanded when they crafted the govt..

Then Gingrich decided that monkeys flinging shit was the only way to get control of the House.

Yes, I've notice that. What's the name of our language? Would King Charles pronounce it "ant?"
Well, Liz doesn't pronounce it like Teddy did, but I really like her anyway.
It just sounds a tad grating from a Massachusetts senator, that's all.
The lady [I didn't say broad this time!] is just a few elocution lessons from being perfect, but at her age, I guess she gets a pass.

I believe she's from the Midwest, right? Oklahoma? Ask Leaningright, but I think he probably pronounces it "ant" as well.

I always had the impression that Midwesterners thought that pronouncing it "aunt" made you sound stuck-up and maybe a Brit sympathizer. ;)

I didn't use Aunt or Ant, I said totya.
