Texas alone has an average of about 155 tornadoes every year. There isn't a year that goes by where I don't see massive flooding, tornadoes, hurricanes or extreme weather that require emergency relief measures in the South. But morons like STY maintain they can handle it by themselves. Horseshit. When they fail to purchase their own insurance to cover the certain disasters they have in that part of the country, it falls on the rest of us.
There is if you plan for it, but Houston hasn't kept up because growth was so rapid.

years.
A lot of rescues are people who don't hear the news, think they will be fine they've ridden out other hurricanes, etc.
