There are 3,141 counties in the United States. Trump won 3,084 of them.

Instead of acreage think in terms of cultural distinctions; or the people in one part of the country that place more emphasis on jobs and the economy as opposed to pet hypotheses about the earths climate, that are held by people in other states.

Or border states that would be forced to live with immigration policy that's decided by people in states that aren't affected by it.

See if that helps. The EC is actually genius.

Boarder states like texas that make exceptions for illegal gardeners, maids & nannies??

Are you advocating those are valid reasons to give some folks preferential treatment??

The count is definitely wrong. You can go look up a map of counties won on wikipedia. By the time I was done counting California, Arizona, and Nevada I had already counted more than 50 counties that went Hillary. And there are probably hundreds of rural black counties that went Hillary in the black belt. Not that the logic isn't retarded. Why should a county in Nevada that consists almost wholly of federally owned land where no one lives have the same voice as Las Vegas? Or some borough in Alaska that's mostly uninhabited tundra?

It's a unique American idea of equality and representation.

You aren't an American, you're a Nazi first, American last. You destroyed America, and made it Nazi territory. It's a Nazi idea. Go kill yourself, fucking Nazi.

Trump won 2,600 counties to Clinton's 500.......83%

Donald Trump is the most popular Republican candidate in history bringing in over 62.4 million votes during the 2016 presidential election. He also secured victories in at least 83 percent of the counties in the United States. Trump is also ranked the third most popular presidential candidate in history. However, there is one huge difference in Trump’s popular vote win and that of Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton. Trump is the only popular vote candidate in the top three to receive success in more than 25 percent of the county-level vote, a victory that has all but been overlooked in the media due to the popular vote margin and recount initiatives.

Both Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton received their substantial popular vote tally while receiving an all-time low percentage of U.S. counties. Barack Obama set the record for the lowest number of counties won for a successful presidential candidate.

Here's your flag Nova:

You're a Nazi citizen now. You renounced your American citizenship when you voted for Trump.

"Instead of acreage think in terms of cultural distinctions" DO #76
Ah!
An argument for elitism.
Got it.
One culture warrants superior electoral authority than another. And that's based purely on geography / population density.

Got it!
“It’s not just whether your vote counts, but whether your vote counts equally. An electoral college vote in Wyoming was worth 71,000 voters. In Florida one electoral college vote was worth 238,000 voters. ... that not only violates one person, one vote; but also violates the principle of democracy ... “ Lani Guinier
Thus a more than 3:1 advantage.
"or the people in one part of the country that place more emphasis on jobs and the economy as opposed to pet hypotheses about the earths climate, that are held by people in other states."
- wow -

Enjoy the Kool-aid.
Know it or not, believe it or not, like it or not, admit it or not; we're all on the same planet.
If the scientific consensus of anthropogenic climate change is correct; the troglodytes that ignore it will die for the same reasons those that tried to save us will.
"See if that helps. The EC is actually genius." DO #76
Thanks, but no. Not in the least.

I'm a scientist.
I apply a reality-based belief system. The fantasies and hallucinations of the resolutely ignorant are but psychological oddities to me. They don't bear directly on prevailing reality. They deny reality, by definition.

Trump denies anthropogenic climate change. THAT'S FINE !!
He's not a scientist. He's a con-man. And the People of the United States have been had. And Trump hasn't even been inaugurated yet; and already we're paying the penalty! Carrier / Indiana is but the tip of the iceberg. You ain't seen nothin' yet.

Just wait until President Trump makes America Great Again!

Godwin's law (or Godwin's rule of Hitler analogies) is an Internet adage asserting that "As an online discussion grows longer, the probability of a comparison involving Hitler approaches 1"—that is, if an online discussion (regardless of topic or scope) goes on long enough, sooner or later someone will compare someone or something to Hitler. THE LOSER.

No, I'm trying to tell you why democrats lost this election and why they're going to lose more unless they change.

People who stuggle to get by, be they black, white, Muslim, Hindu or purple, care more about being able to provide for their families than global warming, gay marriage, or who uses which public restroom. The Pelosi wing of the party is so far out in left field, they're even out of touch with the democrat base.

The Deep Blue wing of the party runs the show, and it was bound to catch up with them sooner or later. They were hammered in the EC.

Same stuff desh was saying about the GOP in 2008.

It was a change election, and a swing of the pendulum.

The irony is thick. The most popular in history, but the second most popular in this election? A little dissonance there, pal?
