There are 3,141 counties in the United States. Trump won 3,084 of them.

I don't feel like I'm part of this country anymore. The majority of America doesn't feel like we're part of the country anymore. Our voice doesn't matter, due to the electoral college.

Then I'm going to propose that Maryland split itself into 10,000 counties, and put 950 of them in the DC suburbs.
 
Whatever our opinion is, I guarantee you that the powers that be will ignore it, and the system rewards them for that. The system rewards a single party, the Republican party, that has given up all efforts to be in any way appealing to urban or diverse electorates. Fuck blacks. Fuck hispanics. They don't matter. And the system rewards that. And it's a good thing, of course. We are told it's a bug, not a feature, that we don't live in a democracy and our voices are ignored. Only "real" America's voices matter.Fuck that. That's how you get a civil war. We are America. We will take our country back, or there will be war.

Evidently there are some that think (or claim to think) that acreage is more important than democracy.
 
The count is definitely wrong. You can go look up a map of counties won on wikipedia. By the time I was done counting California, Arizona, and Nevada I had already counted more than 50 counties that went Hillary. And there are probably hundreds of rural black counties that went Hillary in the black belt.Not that the logic isn't retarded. Why should a county in Nevada that consists almost wholly of federally owned land where no one lives have the same voice as Las Vegas? Or some borough in Alaska that's mostly uninhabited tundra?
 
I mean, the fact is, the electoral college doesn't reward small states, it rewards narrow victories because it's a winner take all system (the voice of the minority in a state is nullified). Trump would've won even if we removed 2 electors from each state. He won because of his bare finishes ahead in a few key states.
 
If the election had been conducted before the Comey intervention, Hillary would've come out ahead. It's stupid that the Democrats are deciding to hypercorrect now and act as if all that matters is working class whites. Obama won based on a diverse electorate in 2012, the Republicans decided, oh no, we've got to appeal more to minorities. And then in the next election they totally ignored that, doubled down on whites, and won anyway. I don't see why we should expect a need to hypercorrect when they didn't and it worked out just fine for them.
 
Anyway, attack, don't defend. The Democratic coalition of the future is NC, Georgia, Arizona, Florida. It's south and west. It's not in the rust belt. Let the rust belt die, let the Republicans have all the taker parts of the country. Concentrating on the rust belt would be doing exactly what your opponent wants you to do. Hit them in the gut where they least expect it.

Instead of acreage think in terms of cultural distinctions; or the people in one part of the country that place more emphasis on jobs and the economy as opposed to pet hypotheses about the earths climate, that are held by people in other states.

Or border states that would be forced to live with immigration policy that's decided by people in states that aren't affected by it.

See if that helps. The EC is actually genius.

If I recall it was actually 500 not 50.....but what difference does it make now.....
