By the way, I have haven't been uncivil to you and I really resent your nasty tone.
I have to disagree with #3. There are most definitely people who would sink that low to win a custody battle. In fact, I knew a woman who was going to do it although she was going to have the son claim physical, not sexual abuse.
Yes, there is no doubt that what he did was sleazy but nobody died and she has forgiven him, yet there are many that just want to use it as a cause celebre.
You'll get over it tt! I resent a hell of a lot more from you than just your tone!
He pleaded guilty and ran away because he knew he was due punishment for his serious crime. What do you need to show guilt in your world? Do you have to have video, or would that just be "faked" because Polanski said it was? I wouldn't spit on Polanski if he was on fire.
lol tom you are the best.
that's REALLY fucked up, and it scares me that it seems one doesn't have to search very far for anecdotal stories about this stuff. I bet it's more common than people think. (though I don't know HOW common)
Yeah, people will do a lot of crazy shit to keep their kids. Doesn't surprise me.
Tough call. Example, in some murder cases the victim's family might say "I forgive you" to the murderer but the person still does the time. In Polanski's case he was never really punished, many in the industry actually came to his defense, he fled the country and continued to live the high life and make movies abroad.
Then his victim [Geimer] said that the judge "didn't care what happened" to her or Polanski, but "was orchestrating some little show,"[SUP][111][/SUP] while Gunson added, "I'm not surprised that Polanski left under those circumstances, . . . it was going to be a real circus."
There was actually documentary of the case that won awards in Europe. Roman Polanski: Wanted and Desired
It's all just so sleazy.
I fear there is much that you need to learn about people when they are in situations like child custody, anybody that has children understands the emotions involved. It not surprising that Darla and SF don't either.
I think it's an interesting day when you have to be thankful Damo and Superfreak are around.
SUPERFREAK! PUT THIS IN YOUR SIG!

Really really great piece for thoughtful people, that means not for rape lovers, rapists, and rapists' best friends.
There's only one Queen Bee in the Darlaks, and it's ME, bitch. Get into line and mew my praises or I'll have to pull a knife. Our Sob Sisterhood only works when everyone agrees with me!

Oh snap... Well, I don't want to read about her opinion of different kitchen utensils and whether kitchen floors should be heated for bare feet so... I'll give that article a miss then, eh? Thanks for the warning.Oops! I almost forgot. The last time I posted an article written by this author, and forgot to add this disclaimer, it was left to Cawacko to point out "this woman seems to have opinions"...
Since I don't want to sneak anything by anyone, full disclosure: A woman wrote this article. This woman appears to hold opinions on various topics.
