The US economy saw 'essentially no job growth' last month

No i am not.

What you are saying is 'data does not matter if you are not going to blame your guy'.

There are truths in data and you do not have to 'blame all equally regardless of what the data says'.

Your post makes no room for data or fact and your position is basically 'blame all basically equally or you are wrong' and that is too simplistic and incorrect.
I’m not dismissing data or suggesting everything should be blamed equally. My point was about how people react when it’s their side under fire.

Even with clear data, partisans tend to highlight what helps their case and downplay what doesn’t. That happens on both sides, and it’s more about human nature than numbers.

I’m sick and fucking tired of the feckless Democrats. I did vote for Harris. That’s because she is not an enemy of the republic, has a respect for our institutions and was not going to alienate our allies, our generals or go on any revenge tour.

Biden pulled a ‘Ruth Bader’ and fucked his party and this country by stepping aside at least two years earlier. I only thought of him as a place holder president anyway , one term, but power does whacky things to people.
I get where you're coming form and I'm sure there are a lot of people who share your frustration. We're told to vote and essentially given two choices and if you're not a huge fan of either, well too bad. So probably a number of people did what you did, which is 'hold your nose' as the old saying goes.

I know Republicans like that. It's not like they like Trump per se, but if you don't want a Democrat in office he was your option.

To be clear, I’m not saying there aren’t times when presidents deserve more credit or blame. But in general, I think that principle still holds.

When it comes to economic activity, the Fed and monetary policy usually have more influence than anything a president does. Many people though have no idea who the Fed is or what it actually does. And since we don’t vote on Fed governors or the chair, people end up crediting or blaming the president for what happens on their watch.

You’re also right that leadership itself plays a big role in how people view a president, especially in moments of crisis.
i already said that in normal times, normal POTUS get way too much credit or blame for economies. So we agree on that.

That does not hold for abnormal times. Hitler had an outsized impact on German economy. So did the Banking crisis (Obama). So did Covid (Trump). And so did World Wide Inflation (Biden).

In those abnormal times, when the entire world is under pressure by macro forces, the POTUS decisions on how the country steers thru it is absolutely far more impactful then in normal times. There were those pushing Obama to not provide any bailout money to anyone and to let the banks all crash and if the economy went with it, oh well. He choose another path and we can see in the data the US economy came out of that catastrophe very strong. If Obama said no to all bailouts the Fed would not be able to save the US economy from the disaster that would have followed.

When you have global issues and you see America do much worse than 1st world peers (Covid/Trump) or much better than global peers (Inflation/Biden) the comparative data is your best measure as to which country made the correct decisions and which ones made the wrong ones.

What difference does it make?

You forgot the paragraph before AND after that one sentence. Ignorance will do that.

The US economy saw 'essentially no job growth' last month: Moody's

Private data suggests job market declined with growth concentrated in just three states and healthcare sector

A leading economist is warning that job creation in the U.S. economy is slowing to a crawl as the ongoing government shutdown precluded the release of the September jobs report last week.

Of note, the job growth last month was almost exclusively in California, New York, and Massachusetts.

Yet unemployment remains at 4.3%

Biden and Ruth Bader destroyed their legacies, imo by staying too long and proving they put themselves over their party, cause and beliefs.

it is sad to say, but too often seniors cannot be trusted to do the right thing and retire as they fear, more than anything, the loss of their daily routine and reason to get out with colleagues and friends'. They feel they will be alone and forgotten if they leave their job.

And further with people in power, it is often their closest advisers telling them they should stay. That is in large part as the person in power goes from taking just advice and using the advisors as a sounding board before they make their decision, to actually relying way more on the advisor to spoon feed them the right decision. Advisors feel more power than ever and do not want to give that up.

Trump lost three million jobs in his first term, let's see if he can top that (y)
Shutdowns did that, which were ordered by states, not Trump.

Kind of a "let's throw shit at the wall" report. The real report is not out yet, and might be a minute if dems continue to keep the govt. shutdown.

That's too high.

It was 4.0% when Biden left in January, and for Biden's last three years in office it hovered between 3.6% and 4.1%.
MAGAts smoke so much meth, it's fried their brains. Normal people can read the graph below, remember the history of the pandemic and figure out that problem wasn't Biden. It was his predecessor who fucked up the US COVID response for several money to rearrange his financial portfolio at the expense of tens of thousands of Americans.

His anti-vax campaign is still killing Americans and will continue to so for years to come. The good news is most are MAGA morons....so anything to help them get along lil' doggie, the better. LOL
