The sad hate for the trans community

I 100% believe that some people are born into bodies that contradict what their minds are telling them in terms of gender.

Just think about that on its own. That alone would be an incredible challenge to try to navigate.

But we compound those challenges with campaigns of hate & intolerance, and everyday bigotry. Over 40% of trans youth are bullied and ostracized. I know a family who has someone transitioning, and they're actually pretty conservative Republicans - but they're supportive of the choice being made. And why wouldn't they be - why would they want a family member to live a lie, and try to pretend to be something they don't believe in their mind & heart?

The memes, the boycotts, the demolition of cases of beer - these things just add to the challenges that these families have to deal with every day. Life is hard enough. Why do we feel a need to make it harder for anyone, just because we don't understand something, or can't relate to it ourselves? Live & let live, as long as your own rights aren't being infringed upon. Err on the side of kindness, not hostility.

You realize dont you that Dylan mulvaney doesnt believe he was born in the wrong body, right? This is all a publicity stunt and it's worked spectacularly for him. People who actually believe they are "in the wrong body" need help. They need our compassion and support. That's a tiny number of people.

the hypocrisy makes me laugh to be honest

race is far more malleable than gender - but nobody supports a guy painting his face black and arguing he has a right to be identified as a black man if he is not a black man

as for this so called hate - the only aspect of this I hate is intruding on women's sports

This is spot in regards to women's sports. It will destroy women's sports and they will have leftists to thank for it.

Sports is a 100% legit debate. I don't think supporting the trans community and also opposing the disruption to women's sports are incompatible.

The blackface comparison isn't appropriate, however. I don't think I've ever heard of someone painting their face black because they felt they were born into the wrong race.

She crossed my mind - but it's still not an apt analogy. We're not talking about a community or any kind of group of people here. I haven't heard anyone clamoring to have a right to wear blackface because they think they're black.

how many individuals are required for it to be an apt analogy?

You don't think over 40% of trans youths are bullied? When I was growing up, it would be closer to 100% of trans youths were bullied.

You think Mulvaney went through a sex change operation as a "publicity stunt"? Are you expecting trump to do the same?

Anecdotal. Need a citation. Besides why were you bullying trans youths???? I was playing baseball.

He didn't have a sex change operation. Lmbo.

Exactly....if you know anyone who has physically transitioned, it is a long, expensive, painful, disfiguring process...and if you're listening to them talk about the process, those just seem to trigger a whole new...and different set ...of mental challenges to deal with...

He had some kind of facial surgery to feminize his features...so you are correct...

Obviously you've never heard of wiggers!!

this is the biggest danger of advancing science and scientific theories without actually understanding the whole big picture of the science involved.

Any person born with a penis and testicles is biologically male. Any male with the mentality of 'feeling' like they were supposed to be female is strictly a mental issue. Just because we have medical ability to re-assign a non working gender physicality does not make things 'right'. Instead of feeling like we can fix the issue by surgery, we should be working on the psychiatric and psychological treatments necessary to help one come to terms with and identify as the gender they were born to be.

I doubt that many here actually hate you and Bud makes a shitty beer that they mistakenly thought they could market to a tiny percentage of the people while at the same time, suck up to the wokies.
I don't care if it works or not, I strongly dislike pandering and try not support those who do.
