The right cancels Kimmel

They didn't threaten ABC/Disney. It's called a WARNING you brainless dumbass.

"In some quarters, there's a very concerted effort to try to lie to the American people about the nature … of one of the most significant newsworthy public interest acts that we've seen in a long time in what appears to be an action by Jimmy Kimmel to play into that narrative that this was somehow a MAGA or a Republican-motivated person," Carr told host Benny Johnson.

"And I've been very clear from the moment that I have become chairman of the FCC, I want to reinvigorate the public interest. And what people don't understand is that the broadcasters, and you've gotten this right, are entirely different than people that use other forms of communication. They have a license granted by us at the FCC, and that comes with it an obligation to operate in the public interest," the official added.

"Look, we can do this the easy way or the hard way. These companies can find ways to change conduct, to take action, frankly, on Kimmel, or, you know, there's going to be additional work for the FCC ahead."
It was a public threat, which is why true conservatives, like Ben Shapiro, Ted Cruz and Rand Paul, have all publicly called out what a problem it was that Carr said what he said.

This is why so many Americans think Trump and his thugs are fascists: https://paulazabkar.com/standing-for-truth/
When I was in the seventh grade, our teacher put on a video and told us to take notes. Ten minutes in, she threw the lights on and shouted at Steven Webb Sladki, telling him he wasn’t taking notes and he should have been. But the thing was, Steve was taking notes. I saw it. We all saw it. The teacher asked if anyone wanted to stand up for Steve. A few of us choked out some words of defense but were immediately squashed. Quickly, we were all very silent. Steve was sent to the principal’s office. The teacher came back in the room and said something like “See how easy that was?” We were reading Anne Frank. I started to understand. I thought now was a good time to share this story. Don’t ever let anyone tell you that what you see with your own eyes is not happening.
.....BUT..,.....TRUUUUUMP!!!! ....
Worst case of stupid and TDS I've seen.

Ted Cruz compares FCC Chair Carr to Mafia boss in Jimmy Kimmel warnings

Republican Sen. Ted Cruz of Texas sharply criticized Federal Communications Commission Chairman Brendan Carr.
“He says, ‘We can do this the easy way, or we can do this the hard way’ ... that’s right out of Goodfellas,” Cruz said of Carr.
Cruz’s comments put him at odds with President Donald Trump, who applauded Kimmel’s suspension and later called Carr “outstanding.”

Republican Sen. Ted Cruz of Texas sharply criticized Federal Communications Commission Chairman Brendan Carr for his comments related to late-night host Jimmy Kimmel shortly before ABC pulled his show off the air.

Cruz said he took issue with Carr threatening to cancel ABC’s broadcast license over Kimmel’s remarks about the death of conservative activist Charlie Kirk.

“He says, ‘We can do this the easy way, or we can do this the hard way,’” the senator said of Carr in the latest episode of his podcast, “Verdict with Ted Cruz,” which aired Friday morning.

“And I gotta say, that’s right out of ‘Goodfellas,’” Cruz said, referring to the classic mob film.

“That’s right out of a mafioso coming into a bar going, ‘Nice bar you have here, it’d be a shame if something happened to it,’” he said.

“Look, I like Brendan Carr. He’s a good guy, he’s the chairman of the FCC. I work closely with him, but what he said there is dangerous as hell,” Cruz said at another point in the episode
