The Physical Impossibility of Renewable Energy Meeting the Paris Accord Goals

Here's how stupid solar is.

Right now, the largest PV solar plant in the US is Solar Star I /II in California. It's relevant characteristics are:

579 MW nameplate (that's what it's rated for)
32,8% capacity factor
1663 GW / year output
3,200 acre site size
$2.5 billion in 2016 dollars to build

Palo Verde Nuclear
4,000 MW nameplate
94% capacity factor
32,300 GW / year output
4000 acres site size
$11.5 billion in 2016 dollars to construct.

For PV solar that is as real-world efficient as Solar Star I / II are, you need to build twenty 20 of these plants to replace a single nuclear plant at a cost of $50 billion dollars using 64,000 acres of land.

That's reality. Solar totally sucks.

For what Joke just threw away on the Infrastructure act, we could have built 50 new nuclear plants each costing double what Palo Verde did, say one per state, with money left over, and ended all coal use, with ZERO need for wind or solar on a tiny fraction of the land wasted on those two worthless methods of energy production. That would have created hundreds of thousands of jobs paying more than wind and solar with all of the fuel being mined in the US with no need for China for anything.

Yet, retards on the Left continue to worship the false gods of Green in their oblivious denial of reality.

At least you don't get fucking morons saying that wind and solar are free anymore, so that's progress I suppose.

I didn't even factor in the battery storage for 24-hour power, that would have come to about $520 billion more... That's just to match one large nuclear power plant...
