The Laschamp event and the demise of Neanderthals

Says the guy who posts the same meme over and over and over and over again.

Irony alert!
I ❤️ Irony

for you, Perry

No professional mudlogger or hydrogeologist I knew ever had to shove dirt in their mouth.

And this is how I responded:

"When I visited them yesterday I came across a calibrating discussion between the scientist. They were working to standardize their methods for observing the relative percentages of one grain size group to another and to give detailed analysis of the contents of smear slide samples taken from the cores. This would help them better describe what was in the layers of sediment found and piece together the story of the South China Sea, its climate and sea levels in the geologic record. Because I had taken a soil science course ages ago I wondered aloud if they were able to get enough sample of the core to use the classic texture by feel method to estimate amounts of clay, sand, and silt in the soil. “Well no, but it is easy to tell if you just eat a little bit of the mud.” Julie Schindlbeck told me. Turns out, that is thing with Geologists. Sediment sampling by mouth. The biology major in me thinks, again out loud, of course this makes sense because you probably have more nerve endings on your lips than your fingers. However, to a geologist it comes back to minerals and the Mohs hardness scale and whether or not what is in you mouth is scratching you teeth!

...

David Peate, who very matter of factly summed up the discussion with an agreement, “Sometimes you just need to get down and lick the rocks!”"

@Cypress

THIS is the most fun I've had all day.

I like to shove dirt in my mouth, and I frantically Google for tidbits of information when I don't have any real life experience!
I'm not talking about guys with weirdo haircuts making youtube Videos or unpaid volunteers at dinosaur museums

Your source: "Natural History Museum of Utah palaeontology volunteer Eliza Petersen licks a dinosaur bone to see if it sticks."

I'm talking about the dozens of professional geologists and mudloggers I've known. None of whom are shoving dirt in their mouths, especially when it's not neccessary, lol

His facility only seems to allow computer access prior to 5pm, lol
It certainly seems so. He did post once about 9PM Easter Sunday, but I haven't done much of a deep dive on it other than noting for two weeks he only posted after 0830 and never after 6PM. I'm guessing his facility shuts off the computers around those times. It's possible it's a library as you suggested, but I still think he has a curfew and not allowed outside without an escort. He's too immature and erratic for someone in their late 30s/early 40s.

He's either posting at a facility, at a public library, or posting all day at work. Yikes!

I strongly doubt Perry is capable of holding a job unless his parents own the business.
He seems curiously proud that he can find articles about eating dirt, and Googling tidbits of info about boring and obscure geology details.

That is not normal for a professional who has responsibilities and duties at work.

The JOIDES resolution is hardly "weirdos making YouTubes".

But then you don't even know what the JOIDES Resolution is. LOL.

Look at you dancing around trying to salvage your point. You don't know "dozens" of geologists. God, give that shit up, festus.

LOL.

You are so "caught" now, it's not even funny and you think you can weasel your way out of this. You are such a fuckin' lame-ass loser!

LOL.

I can find article after article after article proving you don't know geologists.

And that's all the fun I need.
