The irony of it all is off the charts

The problem was the lie. Nothing wrong with a President-elect and his "group" contacting any country in the world for talks.

Then why lie about it .. unless there is more to it?

Too late for decorum.

Flynn is going to tell Mueller everything he knows about anything.

The answers you received are correct. Sitting Presidents versus not one. The former can make deals, the latter cannot.

Yep. A President-elect is still a private citizen until he takes the oath of office. In addition, his team is composed of other private citizens. Here we have private citizens, presumably at Trump's direction, contacting various government officials in at least one foreign government currently under sanction, to discuss lifting said sanctions... among other things. I'm sure a lot of those "other things" are going to come out as Flynn sings like the proverbial canary.

That nothingburger seems to be composed of a good lot of stool pigeon.

Bingo on the quid pro quo.

Because unless Trump or a surrogate was trying to coerce a Russian—-it’s just talking to Russians and a it’s Nothing Burger.
coerce or make deals in a corruptive manner.
Simple policy discussions -even urging an event is not collusion

He lied, because the trump transition team plotted with Russia over the sanctions. I think the real question is going to be 'when did trump's team start colluding with Russia?"

Plotted with Russia? What is illegal about the transition team contacting foreign officials?

Incorrect. A sitting POTUS telling a Russian that he could speak more freely about a touchy defense issue after an election, is not the same as a campaign colluding with Russia in order to get them to aid in the election process.

perhaps....but then nobody in Trump's campaign colluded with anyone and a sitting POTUS telling a Russian something different than he was telling the people he was asking to vote for him.......well, that makes for an interesting subject, doesn't it.......

your either obstinate or just refusing to accept the facts, it is normal for a transition team to talk to other governments but they can not react on or attempt to work out deals on actions that the current official Gov't is making, that would be comparable to purposely undercutting the actions of the official Government of the United States.

Huge difference, the exact one that got Flynn into trouble

dude....get over yourself.....I realize you still don't think the election is over now, but it really was over then.....elected officials do things like begin the transition from stupid demmycrats to real leaders......

Perhaps Flynn could tell you. It looks like the deal was - don't react to the sanctions and we'll back off later.

Try not to be so obtuse and in denial about all this.

That doesn’t cut it.

It would have to involve a quid pro quo. Simply saying things will improve at a later date isn’t one.

Just isn’t.
