The insanity of blaming Islam

I simply choose to call a spade a spade. For what it's worth, I've been to a mosque and they were nice people. But I would argue that they were nice in spite of their religion, not because of it. Islam is a violent religion founded by a pedophile/warlord/thug and many of its adherents overseas have apparently carried on the tradition.

Embrace your inner bigot and be done with it. Your hatred and lack of logic are too set in stone to ever change.

But he is a CITIZEN of this country.

Nice to know you consider immigrants who take the legal path to citizenship as somehow beneath you.

I think the point is that they were radicalised outside of the US as were many of our home grown Islamic terrorists. The 7/7 bombers were all born in England but they all went to Afghanistan or Pakistan for a period to attend madrassas and learn how to make bombs.

Hey, dopey - who is talking about 1,000 years ago? I'm talking about 100 years ago, 50 years ago & today. Ever hear of the KKK? How about skinheads?

Violent groups will always hide behind religion if it serves their purpose. And every religion has its extremists; if you want to argue that it's a matter of degree, have at it, but know that you're throwing that stone from a glass house.

The KKK has nothing to do with Christianity....nothing.

You have to a fuckin moron to think they were KKK condoned or supported by mainstream Christians.....

90% or the people in the Northern states were Christian, did you see them supporting the KKK, fool.

You realize they burn a cross, right?

They have as much to do w/ Christianity as Muslim terrorists have to do w/ Islam.

 Drunk again?

You have no clue about Catholicism, don't even go down that road. Teachings don't consist up of one issue only no matter how much people like you think it is.

If you don't live and believe in the canons, laws and tenets of the Catholic Church, you ain't one but in name only....you're a fake.....

Catholics are Catholics because they have certain beliefs that other so-called Christians don't...thats what make them Catholics.......

Thats like saying you don't believe in the Holy Trinity or the Immaculate Conception but you're still a Catholic....thats bullshit....you either believe or you don't ....you don't
get to have it both ways....
You don't get to pick and choose which church teachings you will follow and which you won't....

[h=3] Read it and weep, Popeye.

Second KKK[/h] In 1915, the second Klan was founded in Atlanta, Georgia. Starting in 1921, it adopted a modern business system of recruiting (which paid most of the initiation fee and costume charges as commissions to the organizers) and grew rapidly nationwide at a time of prosperity. Reflecting the social tensions of urban industrialization and vastly increased immigration, its membership grew most rapidly in cities, and spread out of the South to the Midwest and West. The second KKK preached "One Hundred Percent Americanism" and demanded the purification of politics, calling for strict morality and better enforcement of prohibition. Its official rhetoric focused on the threat of the Catholic Church, using anti-Catholicism and nativism.[SUP][3][/SUP] Its appeal was directed exclusively at white Protestants.[SUP][20][/SUP] Some local groups took part in attacks on private houses and carried out other violent activities. The violent episodes were generally in the South.[SUP][21][/SUP]

The second Klan was a formal fraternal organization, with a national and state structure. At its peak in the mid-1920s, the organization claimed to include about 15% of the nation's eligible population, approximately 4–5 million men. Internal divisions, criminal behavior by leaders, and external opposition brought about a collapse in membership, which had dropped to about 30,000 by 1930. It finally faded away in the 1940s.[SUP][22][/SUP] Klan organizers also operated in Canada, especially in Saskatchewan in 1926-28, where members of the Klan attacked immigrants from Eastern Europe.[SUP][23][/SUP]

You realize they burn a cross, right?

You realize burning a cross is desecration of a sacred symbol, perhaps the most sacred of all Christian symbols?

You just proved that the KKK is certainly NOT a Christian organization. Congratulations!

You may not consider them a Christian organization, but they considered themselves Christains.

Thanks for the scolding, Your Holiness. Now, let me give you a crash course on Catholic teaching since you missed so much. The church is against capital punishment; the church considers Muslims to be saved ("But the plan of salvation also includes those who acknowledge the Creator, in the first place amongst whom are the Moslems: these profess to hold the faith of Abraham, and together with us they adore the one, merciful God, mankind's judge on the last day"); the church supports unions and workers; the church puts the needs of the poor and vulnerable first; the church believes that the economy is to serve the people, not the other way around; the church says we have a fundamental duty to protect the environment; the church forbids euthanasia, cloning, embryonic stem cell research and artificial birth control; the church says war should be avoided except as a last resort; etc, etc. In fact, the Church is more liberal than conservative on many issues but those aren't the issues conservatives support.

So Pope Francis, how many Catholics do you know who toe this party line 100%? My guess is, none. The next time you want to come at a Catholic with your pronouncements about black & white and picking and choosing, you'd better come armed, because you just struck out big time.

BAM!

Except the KKK doesn't run any particular part of government. They aren't encouraged by any sects of Christianity. They don't have a massive group of followers (what, 5,000 at best?). They don't have a voice in national or international politics. They are not equal in any way beyond their fanaticism.
